The MMP People Finder (MMP)

Well, I don’t usually post to the MMP, though I do usually at least skim through… but I’m overwhelmed with guilt. You see, I don’t actually live in San Diego… I’ve been living a lie!

I live here.

Runs out of thread sobbing uncontrollably…

I’ve never been ashamed of the fact that I live on Lawn Guylandt (that’s Long Island, NY, for the uninitiated). Plug me in, beebs.

I’ll be honest and state I am too tired to read the whole thread, so I am throwing yays, boos, belated b-day wishes, and other appropriate reactions around with wild and reckless abandon (because tame and sensible abandon just doesn’t cut it these days). Grab whichever one suits you. I am off to bed early tonight. I’m still battling insomnia.

Do tell!

Hunger is imminent, but food is allllllllll the way across the apartment. Nuts.

Get thee behind us, Satan! No Escondidites welcome!

(just kidding. We hang with anyone).
Hazel–the class was about [insert vague, nebulous management stuff here]. I contend that trimming dead wood is a good thing. The younger folks are all about counseling and fifteenth chances and avoiding confrontation (generalizing). We “argued” back and forth a bit (online) and so I played my trump card: IL is an at will state. They (2-3 of them) came back with, “but you could get sued!”, to which I replied, “that’s why annual reviews are so important.” And we left it there. I think it’s age related. I have little patience for dead weight anymore. Work shouldn’t be hell, but it’s work. You’re not here to gossip, waste time, play or shop–get to work! <snaps whip and glares>
And stop taking my stapler!*

I now have 3 of the 5 Roman shades hung. It’s boring to hang shades. Gah.

I made that Pioneer Woman’s chicken tonight. I used breasts (chesticles?) with bones and skin. I did garlic salt and onions. The chicken was moist, but bland. Next time: oregano and mystery ingredient (haven’t thought of it yet). I only used one stick of butter and didn’t dip the chicken into it, I merely brushed it on.

*this is funny, since I’ve never worked in an office at all. But libraries have a nasty habit of hiring then NEVER firing. Not good.

so, do disgruntled librarians go Dewey-al?

hehehe.

You two are having the day together.

You’re on top of the Empire State Building!

::drive-by::

I was going to catch up then it got crazy here again. Tomorrow is the health department and 1 breakfast and 8 lunches! (Normally we have 6 at most.)

PS: I can’t tell you how much I enjoy the Google Earth program with this. If you don’t have Google Earth, download it now. It is probably the most fun and practical program I have downloaded in a decade.

I could go Melville on your ass, so watch it!
Off to hang MORE Roman shades. <sigh>

Would you rather they go LCS-ical on you?

Friends, Neighbors, lend me your shades!

Ah yes, another GE convert!!! Join us, this is a fun place. The last version had a flight simulator, but when I downloaded the upgrade a couple months ago, I couldn’t find it anymore.

Sydney, Australia! Yay!

I put you in the best zoo I have ever visited. Wombats, echidnas. lyre birds. Beautiful views. Finally we got an Australian on the list.

Wisconsin checking in here. Oconto Falls. Huh? you mean nobody just automatically knows where that is? Oh all right, here is where I live . Just because I’m in Northeast Wisconsin, please do not assume I am a Packer fan. (Yucky football).

Is it Humpday yet? that’s one of my days off this week. I guess that I ought to be grateful for full time hours this week. Next week is only 3 1/2 days. Oh the joys of retail. I don’t have a mandatory Tar-jay exit fee, they pay ME to show up. Although I can rarely make it out of there without buying something, usually a must have, like shampoo or TP.

Ooops. I forgot to mention I added a shitload more spices than the recipe mentioned. :smack: I think the sauce is one that just works best with skin still attached.

Just finished the last book of The Dark Tower series and feeling skjsdnffdnfzlknfoaj about it. Suppose I’ll eat some leftovers before the State of the Union starts.

Crazy day here more visitors to entertain and I STILL have more appraisals to do.

I live in Bako but I am not from here - you could also add Newcastle-Upon-Tyne, UK as well.

We had lunch out and the visitors paid. Yay!

I had baked potato soup and some crab cakes. Yum. Not sure what dinner will be but the answer is not much.

Must.
Do.
More.
Appraisals!

Gah!

Hmmmm…
Seems kinda cool. My home is in the northwest hills of Ct, (Litchfield area) although I’m now in NYC working on a project until friday or so…

Blech. Call me old then, because I don’t. There’s a difference between helping someone improve and letting incompetent people get away with it.

points to location

I am not adding you on principle, jerk.
