Excitement grows as vacation nears. I’m getting out of these 65 degree sunny Chicago days and into the subfreezing & snowy Colorado Rockies. Yep, great time to get away…
I got out of the office today for an hour to visit the teat wash factory. You know that smell in the back of the home and garden store where they have those leaky bags of fertilizer? It was like that only really intense and noseburny. Also, lots of iodine around to get on your clothes and skin if you’re not careful. Great environment.

Holy crap kids, I apologize for neglecting my duties on the night shift, but I can’t break myself away from this other thread. It’s an eleven page post, thats pure unadulterated rambling. That’s right, an eleven page POST.
His name is **rino ** (over at Fathom), and he is quickly replacing Sampiro as my favorite source of this type of entertainment. He’s a nut, but then again there are a lot of nuts over at Fathom. While tehcnically there are more nuts at SDMB, I believe they occur in a higher frequency at the purple place.
There’s yours truly, the sleep deprived troublemaking nut. They’ve got kat, the paranoid nut. rino, the rambling nut. Bosda, the story-linking “best thread titles ever” nut. Even dearest **Sue ** has been a nut lately in TLTIMBH recently, and she’s a friggin’ doctor!

Yes, I’m still alive. So would anybody (I’m thinking beebs) like to summarize the last 5000 pages of the MMP for me?
Suffice it to say that this has been a rough week. However things are generally and specifically starting to look up. I’ve got a meeting with a potential client tomorrow for a wedding between 200 and 300 people. And, even more exciting to me, there’s a local band that TVMan and I like to go see. He’s been a friend of the band in all its variations for the last 20 years. Well, apparently he and one of the guys got on the subject of religion and anyways we all might start going to church together in a week or two! [sub]That is if I can talk TVMan into it. [/sub] I think I can, though.
Uh, other than that, even though it’s 5:30 a.m. there’s work that I should already be doing. We’ve got a busy day ahead. Thanks again, though, to everyone who wondered where I’ve been. It is good to be back.
Also, I can’t imagine reading an 11 page post by rino. I mean, he seems like a nice guy, but his style of writing is nearly incomprehensible to me. I can barely make it through a paragraph.
For those interested, here is a shorter and more readable rino post . Great stuff, but it doesn’t have the guttural, almost Twainian, feel of the other post I mentioned.
Yergh, morning is early. Yays, boos, as appropriate. My aunt died yesterday night in her sleep, and yesterday was busy with me trying to keep my mind off it. She was elderly and ill, and died in her sleep in her home with her husband beside her. Just about the best way to go.
