Well I did it. I booked myself into a hotel on Saturday night when we won’t be able to walk on the floor for 24 hours.
Hubby was putting up a fight and said we could stay with his parents 30 minutes away, and yes, we could. But his brother is there with his 5 rambunctious kids and I don’t feel like getting woke up by screaming and yelling kids. I said that after all I’ve been through I deserve a night in a hotel damn it. He said to book it.
I went onto price line and got a $100 room for $60. 
YAY! It has a pool and everything. All I want is a nice hot, long, shower. I’m happy.

If you all think I’m going back to read over 2 pages, you’re crazy. I worked hard today at work–ugh- AND I had to stay late, as in I was supposed to get off at 430 and I left at 715. And back for more tomorrow.
Annoying Ethnic Chick at work is still not talking to me. I think I’m supposed to be crumbling under this harsh cold shoulder she’s giving me. I’ll try to look suitably disheartened and sheepish tomorrow. Or not.

…still waiting to go out to dinner. Our birthday friend had to work late. Fortunately, he’s only about five minutes from his house, so it won’t take him long to change and get ready. The restaurant is literally about three minutes from our house, so it’s all good.

Today was… crazy.
After lunch things seemed to blow up so I was running around, I had people calling me and I was calling people in the midst of doing my usual paperwork, fending off truck drivers wanting paperwork, keeping an eye on the back gate and the side door (cameras and buzzers) and answering the radio plus trying to explain things to the shippers why they couldn’t do things one way (old shippers, who should know better) while also trying to explain that asking me the same question three times will not change my answer because the computer gave me the answer I gave you and if the computer is wrong, it isn’t updated until either inventory, someone proves differently or you find the product and we ship it out. So you just have to search the warehouse for the product (new shippers).

It may as well have been a Firday because the 13th lived up to its bad luck number… and now I have to go through a Firday tomorrow. Hopefully it goes better.
But not all is bad though, I’ve been chatting with a guy on Facebook for a month or so, who was introduced to me that way (foaf dealy) and he’s coming back home early (was in Australia… he arrived back… tonight, well, in a few hours so I suppose I can stop eyeing MSN in case he shows up online lol) and he wants to go out to dinner next week.
So… a date. nerves

I’ve only ever bought one thing on Ebay, and that was because it was a pattern that I really really wanted (and I plan to make this year as some Christmas gifts…)

The sun shone today, well, actually it is still up, so I guess the proper statement is the sun is shining. It’s cold out, though. The news of the moment is that I have been having a few people ask me about puppies, so please everyone think positive thoughts. If I have done my math correctly, May 16 should be puppy day.
