The MMP That Drives Like an Idiot

Moom, they sent a newsletter today, I think you have to go into your settings and futz with them again.

I just went over to my friends’ page and it looks normal. It looks a little different - maybe wider? - but perfectly legible. Also, I have a terrible memory for layouts, so I might be imagining things. I did read yesterday that they got rid of the no-ad basic LJ accounts (without an announcement); maybe they made a change with that?

We’re having a typical 21st century family evening. Brother and nephew are playing a game online (brother is hogging the game, however; nephew is protesting). Niece is reading a book.

You’ll be glad to know my nephew wishes his father was 50 (he’s 49). Because then nephew would be much younger than his dad. Ahhh, the logic of 9 year olds!

Guess I should do something non-online.

Back after a bit…

GT

I picked a new theme in LJ and it seems to be OK. So who knows… At least it’s readable now - I can’t deal with right-justify.

Would that all my problems were so easily resolved.

Who posted the garlic chicken? It was good.

Thank you. :bows: My work here is done. (for today anyhow)

Gah. Home from work and more work tomorrow. It’s ok and all, but damn-there’s a half a gallon of milk and one egg in the fridge. We have no oven, so that kills frozen pizza. I might try to go tomorrow after work. Then work on Sunday, back to hospital on Monday for half a day, then library for Tuesday, then hospital again–what the hell? I’m on a work carousel and can’t get off!

Whew! So glad this week is finally over. laughs However, a new one will start up again on Monday - groan!

Hugs and sorries for LiLi and Mork.

My daughter and I have been trying the good stuff we got at Trader Joe’s and tonight had some fettucine with mushrooms that was very delicious. The other night, we had barbeque teriyaki chicken strips, which were equally delicious. All TJ-made stuff too, so it’s definitely worth going there every so often.

Glad to see you back, CutiePie! And Taters, I hope your edema goes down soon; if not, please see the doctor. Even though I take water pills, by the end of the day my feet are usually swollen. :frowning:

Hope everyone has a great weekend! And thank Og for preview! LOL

Packing for my trip…Ok, not really. My flight’s in 9 hours, what’s the hurry?

The Gamers are here eight deep tonight. My roommate games most Fridays with a bunch of guys we’ve known for ages. I don’t game with them (usually) but sometimes observe. I understand gamer but don’t really speak it. Since our place lends itself to entertaining, we’re often hosts. Sometimes they play Descent (the boardgame), sometimes Warhammer 40k …tonight, it’s Rockband on PS3. I’ll probably get some drums in after packing. Game nights are usually party nights so packing progress is slow. I might get a couple hours of sleep tonight.

DJ Shadow & Cut Chemist: Brain Freeze

I am ever so glad I have nothing pressing to do tomorrow morning. I have to go the the tailor, and try to get Smokey to the groomer for a paw-dicure, but other than that, nothing planned. I think I shall sleep til noon.

Home and tired. More tomorrow. Canes lost 7-1 in buffalo. Firday, meh.

{{{{{Li-Li}}}}}

{{{{{Mork}}}}} At least Lucretia has a new friend now.

FCM, swampy gets his car wrecked, and I get executed. Why does your subconscious hate Mumpers so much?

Herbs, I shoud check out Trader Joe’s again, since I work a lost closer to them now.

Taters, take it easy, and go to the doc.

Had the day off today, slept till 10 am when the dogs woke me up (gotta go pee Mom!), watched a couple of movies and then went to the LabRat’s rat’s nest. From there to the auto show where I got to watch him drool over the new Challenger and then get sticker shock from everything else. Then back to the rat’s nest for grilled chicken boobies, salad and steamed vegetables. Yum! I introduced him to Pi Day by bringing pie. I told him it was also Steak and BJ Day, but we would only be celebrating Pi Day this year. :stuck_out_tongue: Watched the entire spanking of the Canes by the Sabres. :frowning: Have tomorrow off too and nothing at all planned. Sunday will be a hockey game at 3 and the Bon Jovi concert at 8 with a lot of driving in between. So that’s what’s going on in my world.

Hugs going out to all who need one!

Good to hear things seem to be going well for you and LabRat. I already told you, I’m rooting for you guys due to laboratory loyalty.

I’m waiting for Minister’s Lad to call me back so I can go out and have a drink already. I kind of don’t want to go now, since I know That Guy AND Victorian Heroine are going to be there as well, but I hate being the lame person who backs out at the last minute. I might just go ahead to the bar and wait for the slowpokes there, although that would entail sitting at the bar by myself for awhile. Which I usually don’t mind, but I’m not in a talk-to-strangers type of mood at the moment.

What time do bars in Chicago close anyways?

In Boston I’m about 20 minutes away from last call I believe.

We have 4am bars. Most bars close at 2am though.

Hope swampy’s okay. I got so bored I started checking CNN.com and apparently there’s been a tornado in Atlanta tonight.

Yeah, I saw a TV show about that house a few weeks back, and thought “If I won that, first thing I’d do is load a sprayer with KILZ stain-blocker primer and blast everything so I could re-paint in more livable colors.” Then I’d be calling up a bunch of stores and asking “Can I get store credit for this?”

I can’t remember if I’ve told this one before, this goes back a couple years, when I was living with two other old college buddies. I was cleaning my room one bright sunny day, and I was rummaging through my closet. All of a sudden something popped up on my computer, and I was distinctly aware that 1) my roomates were home and 2) my door happened to be wide open. Now my closet is on the opposite end from where my computer was. My head jerked up and I thought “Oh no, oh no no no, I can’t ever let them discover this!” I lept to my feet and started heading for my computer, when I saw Tim just standing in my doorway looking at me.

He didn’t say a word, he simply just shook his head slowly; I was mortified.

What was on my compter?

I had set winamp ro randomly play my entire song library: Sarah McLachlan - Angel

And that ladies and gentleman, is another shred of credibility I shed for you, lost in the interwebs forever!

first?

And… we’re back! **Beebs **-- it was *you *who broke the boards again, wasn’t it? Bad boy!!!

I’m actually back from Jerusalem; I drove up to visit Special Teen and take her out for lunch on her “stay at school” weekend. Have I mentioned I love living in a country where all the major cities are within an hour’s drive from me?

Yes, damn you!! :Shakes fist::
