The Mole 2: Who is the sabotageur?!

So for those of you tuning in, like me…let’s talk Mole. I think there was another thread on the topic but I can’t seem to find it.

I was also pretty sure that they wouldn’t burn the stuff (I know someone here said that, too). It was so sweet, though, the relief on their faces.

Anyway…Dorothy could be the mole. She’s the unexpected one, but they’ve already had a young, female mole, and it seemed too obvious, so I’m thinking that older guy, the one who didn’t want to wear the diaper. Still…she did leap at the chance to grab that blueberry less cake.

What say you?

It’s Darwin. Bank on it.

Slight hijack –

At this stage of the game, what’s the best strategy for answering the questions and not getting eliminated?

Assume that you’ve got nothing more than a gut instinct, if that. Keeping in mind that in case of a tie, the slowest person is eliminated, should you:

a) pick someone to be the mole and answer questions that way as quickly as possible?
b) randomly answer questions as quickly as possible?
c) something else?

And all I can say is that if the woman with the stuffed cow turns out to be the mole, she’s a phenomenal actress.

I can’t believe I didn’t watch the first season of this show. It’s easily the most interesting reality series I’ve seen.

Sabotageur?

Lisa is the Mole. The secret was not kept very well this year and this has gotten out. Lisa is the one who wore the green dress during the competition and called Darwin over to the room last night.

I think I picked up on a key clue last night, and I’m going to say Bill is the mole.
When they were dining in St. Moritz, they showed a series of designs (I believe in the carpeting) ending with a zodiac symbol for Pieces. I checked the official web page for The Mole 2, and Bill is the only player with that zodiac sign. You heard it here first.
Now when he is eliminated in the next round, I guess I’ll be embarassed…:o

Maha, are you serious?

Okay, maybe sabotageur wasn’t what I meant, exactly.

I was wondering the same thing about the strategy for answering. If you don’t know who the mole is at all, you’re screwed…if you think you do, but you’re wrong, you’re also screwed. But enough people must get enough right…only one person gets voted off.

Would you guys have taken the exemption? I’m pretty sure I would have. I mean, the point is to stay in the game, and they only lost 2,000 dollars. Which, I guess, is a lot, but not compared to 56,000. Either way, I know I would have.

Sounds like the mole at work!
So much for internet rumors…

They do clues alright. You have to watch the first one to find them I guess. That’s how they told us that we should have known in mole one that Lisa was the mole.

You mean Kathryn.

Anyway, Lisa just got executed last night.

I still say Darwin’s the most likely suspect, followed by Bill. I don’t think there’s any way Katie or Al are the Mole. 'Course, watch me be wrong…

Ha! I missed it last night. How about a spoiler-iffic recap?

Well, first of all, someone had to volunteer for a little odd job. That was Myra, she had to find an envelope from a photograph, and as a reward, she got to pick someone for an exemption to an exemption- that is, someone who could NOT get an exemption in this round. That someone? Dorothy of course.

Then there were the diaries. Everyone has a diary, right? Some people wrote more than others in theirs. Well at the breakfast table, everyone had to pass theirs four to the right, to another person. Now everyone has someone else’s diary. Hey if that were me…I’d have died on the spot. Ahhh… So embarassing.

Then they had a competition for money. They had to cross a log over a lake/stream of water, and battle one of two people, Little John (a big ass dude) or Little Jane (also a badass, but smaller and female). The catch being that at least three people had to battle Little John (using these big rubber kayak paddle things)…and whoever got to the other side was able to battle for an exemption. Al was the matchmaker- he decided who would battle whom. Okay, so eventually, enough people got to the other side…two of whom were that big guy (Bill), and of course Al. Al fought Bill and won.

Oh yeah, did I mention Al not only won an exemption for himself, but for another member of the team? Bill said he didn’t want it b/c he “didn’t earn it” (Bill’s a real manly ex military type). Darwin that that was bull…but Al gave the second exemption to Katie (because the test did favor men, because Dorothy and Lisa were exempt, and because he had made Katie fight Little John in the previous round. Plus she’s the weakest member of the team, according to him, and he’d like as little competition as possible).

So then Lisa had to leave and that was it. Sorry if that wasn’t clear. I think I got everything, though. Nice try, Mahaloth!

Maybe it IS Al. So unlikely it is likely? Darwin seems almost too obvious.

The only problem with last night was that it tended away from the games and into the psychological group dynamic stuff you see more of on Survivor. Other than the log cross (well, and Myra having to find the place in the photograph, which was ultra easy), there were no other contests in the episode. Hope that’s not a trend.

(I’m also not that impressed with the decision to read all ten of the test questions on-air; they could be using that time to show us other stuff, and it doesn’t really add to the game for me.)

Gadarene- I noticed they started talking about the quiz around 8:45ish, which seemed a bit soon. I hope they aren’t cutting back on time.

I feel really bad for Dorothy. The general feeling towards her isn’t very good…But can you blame her? I sure as hell would have taken the exemption if I were her.

I’m guessing that Darwin would be too obvious. Maybe it is Bill. It doesn’t seem like he’s the Mole type so maybe he is. Aw hell. I’m guessing Anderson again. :stuck_out_tongue:

<checking website to confirm names>

I think Rob is the Mole because he barely had any notes in his diary. Everyone else had charts and systems in place to decide who the Mole is except for him. Why would the Mole need to keep notes on who he thinks is the Mole? Answer: HE WOULDN’T!

That said, I love Katie, Myra, Darwin, Heather and Bill. I’m starting to warm up to Al. He put so much thought into the Little John/Jane game, I doubt he’s the Mole. I hope they make it far into the game.

Regarding the full quiz, I think for Series One the quiz was 20 questions or so, so that it’s almost random who would get eliminated in these first rounds. Really, how could you know who the mole is this quickly?

Also, be sure to watch next week. Ratings are down, and if they don’t pick up, The Mole could go on…HIATUS! This according to alt.tv.games-shows newssources

Michael Eisner is the mole.

-Myron

I think that is not only too obvious, but the producers would have told the Mole to take good notes so as not to cast himself into suspicion. So, The Mole would have taken/had notes just like everybody else. In fact, I was thinking I could rule Rob out.

My gut feeling is Bill… Of course, my gut feeling was Jim in Mole 1, so what do I know.

My gut is telling me it’s Patrick. There is absolutely no evidence to suggest that he is the Mole, but there was also no evidence to suggest that Kathryn was last year. In the first episode, he was being extremely nice and helpful and I just got this feeling that it was him.

I also think it could be Darwin. Or maybe Katie (least obvious). Or possibly Bribs.

Okay, basically I’ve ruled out Bob, Ali, and Lisa

Probably it’s not Rob, due to the lack of info in his journal.

Maybe it’s Myra?

The Man Who:

Unfortunately, it doesn’t make a damn bit of difference if I watch next week or not, 'cause I’m not a Nielsen viewer. (Which is why I advocate implementing technology which monitors and transmits the viewing history of a television, and giving it out free to anyone who volunteers. But that’s a topic for GD.) So if anyone knows anyone who actually affects the ratings, tell 'em to watch. ABC has cut down too many good shows–Cupid, Gideon’s Crossing–in the prime of their life.

Screeme: I thought it was Jim in Mole 1, too.

Anyone else finding it difficult keeping the Mole and Survivor contestants straight in their heads? Maybe because I just finished reading {b]cazzle’s** Survivor thread…

Anyhoo, I’ve got it down to three people, Darwin, Dorothy, and Heather.

Darwin and Dorothy - were both allied with Lisa. Lisa got the test wrong. And (I believe) she indicated that she didn’t suspect her allies. Doesn’t that mean it’s a bit more likely to have been one of them? Then again, my gut says it isn’t Darwin, and they’ve put too much emphasis on Dorothy for that to be as likely.

Which brings us to Heather. Flying under the radar Heather. Remember when she and Katie were sitting by themselves in episode one, talking alliances? Something in what was discussed (although now I can’t remember exactly what) made me go “Hmmmm”… Also, The Mole may have been subtlely affecting the outcome of the next challenge, if she kept Katie away from the others during that time. I couldn’t believe Katie was picked as one of the four to answer questions about the group, when she didn’t appear to have been with the group discussion? Anyone remember how the four were chosen?
