No, it was a normal week in that sense. Just a case of my brain hitting a bad sector, I think. 
**BBBobbio **- just in case you haven’t left for breakfast yet, the pancakes at Bert’s are good, but HYUUUUGE!! I recommend the short stack. The home fries are super-yum - fried up with onions. Other stuff is good, ordinary breakfast fare, but the ones I mentioned are exceptional, IMHO. Their only black mark is having Pepsi products instead of Coke.
**FCD **left at some ridiculous, dark hour, and I drifted in and out of sleep till nearly 7. My kiln has finished its cycle, the dishwasher is into its cycle, and I’m just about done with an egg-n-provolone-sammich on toast. Not sure what I’m going to do today, altho a visit to the grocery store is in order. I really need to clean my studio, so I may spend a couple of hours down there.
There’s a deflated bouncy castle in the yard next door - I think it’s their kid’s birthday. I’ll need to be aware of when they’re partying and keep Higgs in. Otherwise, she’ll *barkbarkbarkbark *at the fence like a moron.

It’s 6 degrees above freezing, sunny and so still it’s spooky outside.
I just saw a rabbit run across the road, first one of those I’ve seen since the neighborhood hawk came and went.
The Hounds From Hell got into a noisy fight amongst themselves this AM so I am up an hour before I need to be.
Guess I will get up and ready to go house hunting.
I’m driving because it’s over an hour away and with the price range I’m looking in my poor neighbor isn’t going to make much on the sale to start with.
I think he’s doing this more as a favor to me than to make any money.
The one house I’m going to see I could pay cash for, I suspect it needs more work than I am willing to do but I’ll check it out as a comparison anyway. You never know. I wish my ex bil could meet me out there but what with him having cancer I’m not going to ask.

**FCD **just called - he’s on his way home, frozen. He left the rest of the group because he was cold and hungry - duh - it’s 43° out there!! He stopped at McD’s for breakfast and he should be here within an hour.
I guess I should shower and dress, ya think? Maybe stoke a fire in the basement to help him warm up? At least the little cap I made him last night kept his ears from freezing, so there’s that. Silly man.
They probably ran out of beer.

My day was somewhat busy yesterday; got my hair done and it always takes a good while because there’s so much of it. After that, I snuck off to Costco and bought a bunch of food. I went alone because when I take my husband, we spend far, far too much there. Trust me, the bill was unpleasant enough yesterday and with my husband there it would have been doubled.
I came home, seal-a-mealed the meat into meal for two sized portions, put the rest of the haul away, and did a couple of chores.
Today, I have more chores and laundry is among them. I would love to go work in my yard but is pouring down rain. POURING.
Later this evening, we will head to a friend’s house. She is going to make us sauerbraten. I love sauerbraten and haven’t had it in ages.
today I prep my taxes - assuming I can pull myself away from the interwebz long enough.
:smack: Ugh taxes! I have to do my taxes this weekend too! I completely forgot!
Here’s a handy hint - when someone comes home hypothermic and can’t seem to get warm, you can toss a heavy afghan into the dryer for about 10 minutes, then tuck it against said person under another afghan, and it speeds the warming process.

My taxes are done, just not sent, since we have to pay a buttload this time. I screwed up my withholdings when I went back to work. Oh well…

Played in a cabaret show last night with a bunch of friends. We had an amazing party afterward. It was such a rewarding experience!

We owe bunches to the Feds as well this year. There was a payroll system change last year and for some reason the cost centre mr ems is attached to the system changed everyones withholdings aka someone hit the wrong button and it wasn’t caught until mid-year when they sent an apology letter out and made the correction. Pretty much to within $100 what we owe the Feds should have been taken out in the 7 months til it was corrected. Grr I hate taxes. I will mail that check on the 15th 
I made it home late last night and I am still sick today so I am under instructions to do nothing whilemr ems mows the grass and washes windows outside ready for turning in the keys at the end of the month. Leasing agent has leased it already.

I’m not of German ancenstry. 
He did stand under a hot shower for a long time, then crawled into bed. I just woke him up, and he’s back to his normal, charming self.

Do you have multiple mowers or are you doing it relay style? Certain things don’t go faster with more bodies thrown at it; fer instance, 9 women can’t have a baby in one month!
It was a German idea, Flytrap didn’t say the women had to be German. 
Sunny day spent it down the park, with a bunch of people (mostly Austrian for some reason) who were all far younger than me.
First day this year it’s been warm enough to sit out in short sleeves. Hope it won’t be the last.
It was warm, and despite the language, they weren’t German. And we didn’t bring a bed anyway, before you ask.

Howdy! Back at da cave after the marathon purtification of the biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig ass yahd. Spidey we had two ridin’ mowers and two push mowers. I spent over an hour on the backside of their property on a ridin’ mower feelin’ a little bit like I was bailin’ hay the grass was so tall. I went over it twice. The rest of the grass cuttin’ was not so bad. In addition to mowage, we weedate (is too a word!), edged, trimmed hedges and cut some low lyin’ branches off trees. Then we ate a hyuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge N.O.L. of fried chikin, N.OT. sallit, deviled aigs, green beans, squish casserole, pineapple casserole, homemade rolls and chawklit cake with homemade chawklit fudge icin’. We told JDD’s mom not to go all overboard and this was her not goin’ all overboard, I reckon.
So, home, all showered up and tahrd. I have a chikin pie (there’s a theme here today it seems) in the oven bakin’ away for First Sunday Brunch over to the church house tomorrow. Also there’s tea steepin’ as I will make a gallon each of sweet and unsweet tea. OYKW is snoozin’ and even though I’s tahrd I don’t feel like nappage which is way unusual for me. Later, JDD and Partner are comin’ over. We shall throw a poke tenderloin on the grill (marinatin’ as I post) and they’re bringin’ fixin’s for a sallit. After that N.O.L. we all et that should be enough for dindin. We shall also be imbibin’ of course. I’ve already told ‘em they need to plan on stayin’ the night. One does not leave da cave drivin’ after one has been drinkin’ a wee too much. This is a hard and firm rule.
Ok, need to go check on the chikin pie.
