this is my FIFTH attempt at posting in this thread this morning
damn computer
So originally it was 2 degrees below freezing
it is now 13 above
Spring, she is a comin’
but she’s taking her sweet ol’ time about it.
Breakfast was mini rolos and potato sticks because I got up just in time to log in to work and that was what was handy.
N.O.L. is a toss up between a bagel and cream cheese or some Frank Purdue chicken nuggets with some microwavable broccoli and cheese sauce.

FCM I hear what you are going through. She’ll figure it out.
is the same FCDaughter who married and divorced in about a year while living in your basement? perhaps she needs a reality check. Or at the very least a glimpse into her immediate future.
We used to get the JW’s up here in rural VT once in a while, nuts. Answering the door in my Ozzy Osbourne Halloween mask and thong underwear (I’m 6’, about 200 lbs.) seemed to drive them off for a time.
Happy hump day everyone, and good thoughts to all, and especially Spidey.
One of my labs, Riley (as in “The Life of”) is not long for this world, sadly. We got him as a shelter doggy 14 years ago at just 3 mo. old - someone brought him and his sister in after finding them running down the side of the highway. He’s been awesome! I’m dreading his inevitable end, but he’s had a great life with us - big back yard to play in; long walks unleashed out back in the 100-acre woods; kids that drop food under the table regularly…
I’ma gonna be a blubbery mess when the time comes.
Then go right out and do it all again.
Best wishes, y’all.
<sigh> Just when you think it’s safe… What’s that squeaking noise? Oh, just DH moving the Victrola by dragging it across the floor. What’s with this sudden desire to do crazy things RIGHT NOW? Must be something to do with fentanyl.
**Why **did the Victrola need to be moved? This is driving me nuts.
She kicked him out just before their 2nd anniversary, same, and only, daughter. There are a few things I’m going to tell her, but there’s not a lot I can do. One thing I will warn her about - if she marries this guy, then divorces him, since she makes more money than he does by a bunch (unless she moves to Orlando without a job) she could be on the hook for alimony… I doubt it’ll make a difference, but I will tell her.
I’m almost done with my glazing. I’ve got 2 pots that are still drying, but they’ll get a very simple, basic glaze. I’ve also got to put a coat of clear on all the decorated pots - that’s for tomorrow. I’m done today.
**FCD **will be a bit late - his glasses are ready and he’s going to pick them up on his way home. So for now, it’s me and the critters.
**gotti **- blame the drugs! It makes the most sense.
**sari **- she’s a flake who is obsessed with some singer and she’s ever-so-slightly intolerant of those who disagree with her. At least that’s the impression I’ve gotten.
And my credit union is nuts!! I contacted them to get info about some paperwork I sent to them, and for “security purposes” they wanted the address under which the account was opened… 30 years ago! It was FCD’s account and I have no idea what road he lived on back then. Fortunately, they accepted the middle 8 digits of my VISA check card and the expiration date of my regular VISA card. All I was asking was if they’d received the paperwork…
A couple of days ago, their security question was “What is your mortgage company?” Crap, I don’t know - it’s paid automatically and we don’t get paper statements… I know their website, but it isn’t the same as the company name.
I thought josh was a guy. Or the girl who was pretending to be a guy and then admitted she was actually a girl (or was it the guy pretending to be a girl who then admitted to being a guy?)
Proving you are who you say you are gets harder all the time.
