I did some notewriting on Sunday and nothing yesterday. Not bothering with a wordcount because I think counting words is boring.
{{{{Spidey}}}} Your dog’s name made me smile.
Up, caffienating, off to irk. It’s Spring Break. Heaven help us.
ETA: Swampy, just remember, when you’re on a date make sure you’re with a group so there won’t be any of that adult touchin’ and stuff. That’s what the film told us and it must be right! It’s educational!
No Brad Pitt dreams this time. Instead, I was bidding on the “opportunity” to mow the lawn at some church of which I wasn’t even a member! Then I was suddenly in a store looking at fabric and the clerk said that the next day, the store was being taken over by “101 Doughnuts” - which would be a really cool store if it existed!
And it’s freekin’ 25° out there right now!!! Spring? yeah, right. I’ll be taking the last of the firewood to the basement - the fire I had going there yesterday warmed the upstairs by 3° when I left the stairwell doors open and turned on a fan at the bottom of the stairs. So I’ll do the same today. I expect to be working down there most of the day - I want to get all the pots done and drying so I can fire 'em and finish 'em.
That’s pretty much all I’m planning today. I may run the vacuum if I get really bored. And I’m thinking N.O.T. soup for supper, but that makes up fast, so not something that needs to simmer all day.
I walked to irk today. A pleasant three mile stroll, but it’s a tad nippy out. Almost an hour after I got here, a quick look at the weather page says the temperature is 28 Amurrkin (-2 Furriner).
VWife needs the Family Truckster, and besides, I have this wild hair bucket list item about hiking 60 miles of the C&O Canal Towpath Trail next month, so conditioning walks are called for now.
Gentle hugs and fond memories to Spidey. I have lost pets, but each time it is just as painful and heartbreaking as the last. I will give my furries extra scritches and treats in your goggie’s honor and memory. You will see him again someday.
In other news today better not suck as much as yesterday at work (I hope?).
I shall inform OYKW that from henceforth all datin’ shall be done in groups.
Look! It’s Duck and Cover! This is an all time fav! I have two warm Krispy Kreme doughnuts, a fresh cup of coffee and Duck and Cover! Could this day get any better!
Kept awake by cramps half the night, then got woken up by another lot of god-botherers. Hope they knock it off soon- I don’t care what religion people are, but going door to door trying to convert people is just plain rude.
S’posed to be going fishy shopping this afternoon; my favourite kind of shopping. I’m saying supposed to, because I said I’d take my housemate, who should have been back from work an hour ago, but she still ain’t back.
That dating video sure gives girls an easy time of it, don’t it?
The temp here has shot all the way up to 45!!! But I’ve got a roaring fire going in the basement insert and it’s keeping the house at a cozy 67.
I’ve decorated 5 more pieces - 2 flower pots with saucers and a yarn bowl. Next, I’ve got 5 pots that are getting the dip/pour treatment, so they’ll go pretty quick. I hope. But first, it’s lunch break time. I’m having a couple of leftover twice-baked N.O.T.s that my mom sent home with us on Easter. They are yum.
And that’s the mid-day update from FairyChatEstates.
Anybody want to buy a husband? When the pain meds are working and he’s feeling well, he gets these crazy ideas to do things like re-arrange furniture or pull up the floor in the laundry room.
We were thinking of replacing the vinyl flooring in there - it’s ripped and ugly - but I really wasn’t thinking of doing it NOW. Now there’s a square yard or so of bare plywood subfloor that’s going to be bare for a month or two until our finances recover.
I have no idea what’s going on with my kid. She had the interview yesterday with the principal in FL. The position wasn’t for a 5th grade science teacher, it was for whatever they need, which at the moment looks like a 3rd grade teacher. No biggie - she’s planning to go anyway. This after nearly quitting because she hated teaching 2nd grade so much. And after declaring how much she hated Orlando.
What sickens me the most is that thought that she may be planning to marry her high-school-dropout-unqualified-for-anything-but-menial-labor boyfriend. How can someone who’s so educated and seemingly intelligent settle for a life like that? <headdesk>
OH Btw, my little soon to be new born was kicking my butt last night, literally. It took me an hour to go to sleep, the contractions hurt, and she hasn’t stopped moving yet since I woke up this morning. She is already making me sick to my stomach and she isn’t even born yet!
