The Monday Morning Peeple - an April 1st MMP

JC on a pogo stick!!!

Last week I got a letter from the school, somebody had put a camera in the boys bathroom. Some boy spotted it, it wasn’t active and was put there by (a now suspended) police officer.

Now I just got a call from the school that I am not to be alarmed and nobody was hurt but a student brought a gun to school today.

One of his favorite teachers is sitting in jail for having sex with female students.

Two more months, just two more months of craziness.

Dang sari! Glad sahkid is gettin’ outta that place soon.

Just read the letter, the gun was loaded with 7 rounds.

A secretary stopped the student as he was coming back into the school after leaving. One question led to another and his backpack being searched.

I’m sitting here waiting for a callback about a job. Interviewed last week and they said “sometime next week”. If I get it, I get a phone call. If I don’t, an email. Unfortunately, past experience has proven to me the ‘we’ll email you if you don’t get it’ doesn’t hardly ever happen. I wish I’d just hear one way or another

me too!

Yeah, that’s something that really chaps my hide. How hard is it to say “Sorry, but you weren’t selected.” Sheesh. My husband had 2 interviews in rapid succession for a job he really wanted and they gave every indication that they wanted him, too. Then, nothing. Really classy…

Good luck with the callback!!

I’ve quit for the day. I’ve got 4 pieces underglazed, all of the pieces now have wax on the bases, so the rest of the glazing should go faster, and the 2 yarn bowls I threw yesterday are trimmed and drying - they’ll be the last things glazed before firing.

I’m quite pleased with this batch so far. I’ll have 7 yarn bowls, 2 flower pots with saucers, 2 extra-large spoon rests, and 5 mixed-media pieces that will be adorned with beads. I should be able to deliver it all next week - plenty early for Mother’s Day!

**FCD **is home and I don’t know what we’re going to have for supper. I don’t wanna cook and I don’t feel like going out. Delivery?? hmmmmm

I’m just gonna wave and go on with lunch. Leftover mac and cheese mixed with peas and bits of overcooked bratwurst. I walked out this morning with the DIL’s lunch. At least I remembered my pills. Catfish would have been better.

You know I was over forty before I learned that catfish was something I liked. It wasn’t an impoverished childhood, but sometimes I shake my head at that.

Today I will be filling out forms. That’s the thing about government grants. There’s forms to apply for them and then forms to get authorized to receive the grant you were awarded. I’ve got a project in both categories (well, two with deadlines on the forms), so I will be doing forms all day.

Neither were my projects when they began, so I’ll also be doing some digging to find the information to put on the forms. That part I kind of like.

We’ve got 350’ installed, and about 70’ more to go. They were supposed to come today to finish, but that didn’t happen. Not a huge deal, tho. Higgs hasn’t figured out that she can get out by going way out in the yard and going around the fence, so we’re satisfied. Since it’s just welded galvanized wire, there’s no smell. Just the relief that the idiot dog can’t escape.

Supper is grab whatever. **FCD **wasn’t hungry and I didn’t feel like cooking. So I’m having an egg-n-swiss sammich on marble rye. Just wish the rye was seedless. I hate caraway seeds. ick. When you bite into them, the taste stays in your mouth forever. ick.

And chocolate bunny shards for dessert.

I’d like to hang out with Brad Pitt. Of course, it would have to be pre-Angelina Jolie Brad.

I’m 33 and I get it. I also know why you shouldn’t confuse your Calgon with your Kal-Kan.

Don’t you love those calls? "Please don’t be alarmed but OMG SOMETHING TOTALLY ALARMING HAPPENED!:eek::eek::eek::eek:

I have a new boyfriend: the Internet Archive. Not only can I get my crazy educational short fix on, I can also download public domain radio mystery shows, like all of the ones I like! Boston Blackie! Broadway Is My Beat! The Saint! squees
{{{rosie}}}

Pot roast with carrots, parsnips, N.O.T. and crowder peas plus cornbread for dindin. YUM! Leftovers for tomorrow even. I done good.

StickyBuns you may not look at that site until you finish all your studyin’ young lady!

Howdy all. Spent all day at the horsepistol. DH has his PVI or cardiac ablation and he came through with flying colors. I am now at a nice Hampton Inn waiting for sleep to overtake. I did not sleep one minute since Sunday night. Sleep deprivation is no fun at all.

When that GOD DOCTOR came out and told me hubby did Great I broke down and cried like a little girl. I was so skeered. When I left him he was having dinner, had a Percocet and was complaining about the iV’s, pulseox thingy and the catheter in his penis. Yep, he will be fine.

Haven’t read all so Rosies sig. To all. Sorry don’t know how to use bold or color on my new iPad. I miss my Lucky Louie. The neighbors said he still hasn’t peed and doesn’t want to go out. I walked him at midnight last night. Poor stubborn baby. I hope he doesn’t grieve to death before we get home tomorrow afternoon. Please just pee and poop on the floor. It’s tile and Mama won’t be mad. I just want him alive when I get there and the cat too.

Please send good thoughts, vibes, prayers our way.

thanks for the hugs, all. I’m still stressed and aggravated. The place I saw today was 20 minutes off the main road, 45 minutes form the office (with minimal traffic - probably over an hour normally), and what is wrong with people that they don’t understand the simple phrase “no steps”? One step, from the outside, into the hallway - meh, I’d find a way - but a step down into the bedroom? I have visions of my tripping, in both directions, when answering a 3am call to nature. grrrrr!

I once made a playlist of MST3K shorts that followed the life cycle from birth to death. I lost it in one of my many hard drive crashes. A moment of silence, if you please.

This is my current favorite short: Safety: Harm Hides at Home. This is my Facebook review:
*If you’re in the mood for a short film, may I suggest “Safety: Harm Hides at Home?” A young lady architect is driving home one night when a group of Lollipop Guild Aliens give her the power to detect when a child is about to do something intensely stupid, bestowing upon her the name “Guardianna.” By day she is a school crossing guard…and an architect sometimes. But whenever a small child does something like find Dad’s gun in the toolbox or climb a ladder or make a burger with a pound of butter, she leaps into action! Danger cannot withstand her aluminum foil headband and trashcan lid shield of SAFETY!

But seriously. One kid makes a burger with a pound of butter on top. Just dumps the whole package on top of that lump o’ meat. Guardianna might have wanted to call her buddy Arteriosclerosis Man to back her up on that mission.

And it’s a free download! I love Prelinger Archives.*

I need to finish prepping for Camp Nanowrimo, which started yesterday and get to writing. I’m only doing 25k words, but that’s still about 800 words a day. And I’d really like to finish some of the stuff I have started.

Brrrrr Denver is cold. OKC was cold. I have been cold all day.

Sorry rosie

Whatever frogs dont drown in this storm the lightning’s gonna get. Whoweeee, a real toad strangler!

Tonight was one of those very rare nights where drinking $85-a-bottle single-malt Scotch directly from the bottle was completely acceptable.
Ya see, tonite **fucking **sucked! :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: :frowning: :frowning:
