The most 2022 headline you will ever read

I’m putting the link in spoilers because the article is disturbing on many levels. I’m quite serious.

“Experts explain why” pushes this headline over the reportorial top.

That the perpetrators may escape prosecution because they ate the evidence - although they recorded it[!] - is the final nail in the coffin.

Better technology will not solve this problem. Human society needs to be returned to the manufacturer to have it completely refurbished, with all new parts.

I’m not sure this qualifies as human behavior.

On a cruder note, how, shall we say, “anatomically deficient” did they have to be for this to be physically possible?

So much ewww there. Doing it is bad enough, but feeling the need to take videos…why?? Were they afraid they were going to be bragging about it at the bar and their buddies wouldn’t believe they were cool enough to do such a thing?

I am disturbed to learn there are entire websites devoted to man-on-monitor lizard action (well, the article isn’t specific, but I feel safe in assuming women are not involved with this activity).

Horribly sick and evil as this is, I do think it’s a bit over the top that India has the death penalty for this particular crime.

They apparently had some interest in porcupines too. News from two weeks ago:

Truly, this is the most unusual thread right now.

Monkey belonging to Texas special team’s coach stripper girlfriend bites child on Halloween

Link.

TBF, that was a 2021 headline, and as it turns out a lot more uplifting.

Pfft. Details, details. Who reads the fine print nowadays anyway? :grinning:

I know we’re supposed to be fighting ignorance here. But on this topic, I would have been happier to have remained completely ignorant of the possibility of its existence.

I wholeheartedly agree. Ugh.

I was not wondering.

On any given day that question is asked of thousands of things, though.

I’m pretty sure you’re in the majority on this one.
