“Christians are Good, Muslims are Evil”, obviously. It’s a standard argument I’m seeing a lot of from pro-Christian people these days; the intolerance of the Islamic dictatorships like Iran is used to argue for the inherent moral superiority of Christianity.
Heh, it would be kind of ironic to see “pro-Christians” point to tolerance of blasphemy against themselves as a sign of superiority (sort of like people who idolatrize the flag but have no problem with making it into a thong swimsuit); but to be fair it’s primarily an anti-Muslim “they are so primitive, we are so enlightened” statement. There are quite a few Christian fundies who rather feel it’s a sign of how decadent have our societies become and would find it an improvement to go back to prosecuting antichristian blasphemy.
