The most disgusting CNN comment ever [RO]

So a child abduction case ended relatively happily when a complete stranger notices the vehicle in question and successfully brings it to a halt, whereupon the abductor released the child and unsuccessfully tried to get away.

Thankfully most of the comments on CNN’s website praise the hero, and relatively few call for a torturous death for the abductor. But of course there are comments like this gem on the rescuer’s presumed heritage:

That has to be a joke, and it’s actually kind of funny.

What’s wrong with that? Clearly it’s a joke, and it’s at least a little funny.

ETA: D’oh!

Whoosh?

Dude, that’s obviously a joke. I laughed my ass off.

Poe, and that pesky law, at work.

Definitely a whoosh.

I don’t watch Steven Colbert, but from I’ve heard in bits and pieces of his routine, this sounds like something he would say.

Panhandler’s sign: Will be a Hero for Food.

La madre es todo whooshes.

Ludovic, I don’t mean to laugh but that was fuckin’ hilarious.

Seems like a troll.

Definitely Colbertesque.

It’s a very clear joke.

You couldn’t see that as a joke? See, this is why we can’t have nice things.

The comment was funny.

The RO is funnier.

Yeah, that was a good one.

There was an Onion headline recently about political cartoonists getting hand-cramps from drawing sombreros on their cartoons about bedbug infestations. You should see how many of the comments obviously didn’t get that the butt of the joke was the cartoonists.

Poe’s law at work, I guess.

That comment is such bullshit. What’s the guy going to get for rescuing the girl and going to all the press conferences and crap? A key to the city and maybe a free burrito. What’s that work out to, $3 an hour?

Americans don’t rescue little girls because the pay isn’t high enough. It’s a job Americans won’t do.

Didn’t he say something along the lines of: My great-grandfather didn’t come here from Ireland in order to compete with immigrants!

And then tacked on “He came here because he killed a man” for even more funny.
