Friday night and Saturday afternoon various people will be doing various things. I (the emcee) won’t be involved in any of them. Saturday night at 7:00 is the official meeting. It’s at The Barrel Head, 1577 Wabash Ave, Springfield, IL. I’ve posted directions earlier in this thread.
Gaudere will probably wear her moderator hat. At least, she did at Spiffle I.
Same here MissBHaven. I’m looking for a decent sitter now, and have some other people helping me as well. If worse comes to worse though, we’ll bring them with us and may have to just bail out a little early or figure something out as we go:)
Um, hi. No, you do NOT want to bring your kids. I’ve been to many a Dopefest, including last year’s Spiffled, and I just can’t see your kids being able to drink enough to hang with this crowd of deviants.
Also, it would be considered child abuse in most states to let your children get that close to Jophiel and Omni.

I’ll be getting there Friday night, 6-ish. Prepare to be drunk 7-ish and carry-ing on and so-forth 8-ish.
They’re kids, how much could it take? When I was 10, it only took one or two beers…

I’ll be arriving on Friday, about 5:30 PM, if the airlines cooperate. I already have a room reserved at the Courtyard, but it’s a single, so unless you really wanna get to know me, no sharing.
Then again, in the condition I think I’m going to wind up in, the floor would probably work just as well, and I’d hardly notice or care.
Tequila: sorry it took me so long to get back to you, but my contact in St. Louis told me their regular babysitter is no longer taking jobs; she discovered sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll. The only other person they could recommend is probably too young (13 y/o) for your requirements.
As ValerieBlaise, Falcon, MikeG, and I either alluded to or directly stated, this is not really a gathering for children. You really might want to reconsider.

I too have a room at the Sleep Inn. And, as I understand it, the only thing that seperates it from the Courtyard is a parking lot.
Now, at the moment, it’s up in the air as to whether I’ll head down to Springfield on Friday or stay in Chicago and head down on Saturday. I should find out tonight though. BTW I’m drinking tonight, I’m not going to this thing a lightweight!
I happen to have a single KING SIZED bed at the Courtyard, which in NO way will keep from crossing the parking lot and falling in the pool at the Sleep Inn, waiting to be rescued (oh, wait, was that a Fantasy thread post?)
