As I said previously, I’ll be there Friday evening and am staying at the Marriott Courtyard.
Actually, I’ll be there earlier, about 2pm. Since David B has family obligations this weekend and is unable to attend, I talked him into taking a couple hours off work Friday afternoon. He and I are going get together for a bit to talk about all you folks before you arrive, so I guess I’ll be among the very first in town.
Anyway, if anyone I haven’t already given it to, wants my cell number as a point of contact, pop of an e-mail today before 5:00pm EDT to rseaney@teamsigma.com and I’ll pass it along.
Well, we’re getting down to the wire here, folks. A number of us have rooms with only one person in them, so we might want to look at doing some shuffling Saturday.

Obviously, Friday night plans involve drinking in copious amounts and potential debauchery, but what about Saturday, during the day?
I’d like to once again ask if anyone is up for a round of golf. I haven’t been out since last fall and back then I was just closing in on 110, so I’d really like to get out there and swing a little…uh, hit the links, that is.

is about when UncleBill rolls into Spiffled. Is there a place to meet for drinks, I mean lunch? I’ll be wearing my “Bite Me” black t shirt (Hi Crunchy!) as I sauter into the Courtyard lobby.
I figure for the bacon we could wrap it around a curling iron and set it on high. However, I’m NOT using mnie for that, so we’ll have to use yours.
As for doing stuff during the day…trust me, you do NOT want to play golf with me. I love watching it, but I suck at playing. I’m up for whatever anyone wants to do, though.
And could someone PLEASE tell me what the weather’s supposed to be like this weekend?

I once spent an entire evening in a Courtyard lobby roasting weinies and apples on coathanger “weinie sticks” in the fireplace, and management never said a word. In fact, got a lot of free 151 Rum for flambeeing the apples from the bartender, so if that one is set up with a fireplace, that’s always an option:)
Thanks Turbo Dog, I’ll be sure to pack a coathanger just for the occasion! What with you, me, and thinksnow, we could take over that town! Or at least commandeer a few hotels and a bar!
You guys are gonna need some help with the whole town. Fortunately, I’ll be there. And I’m an EXPERT on unconventional cooking. I can poach a fish on an engine block, if anyone is interested.
Have we decided where, precisely, the drunken revelry will occur Friday evening?

And how many will that be, exactly? (I count me, Veeb, Joph, porc, Falc, Flyp, thinksnow, UncleBeer, ummm…that’s all I can think of off the top of my admittedly empty head)
If you don’t mind:
a) being extraordinarily crowded,
b) sitting on the floor,
c) stopping at a liquor store to purchase mass quantities of alcohol,
d) pissing off my neighbors,
and e) watching some -really- bad movies,
perhaps I could host the Friday-night pre-party party. If I missed anyone, well, then, it’s just going to be even more crowded, should this occur…
Well, here’s the thing: why don’t we party in one of the hotel rooms Friday night? No driving involved. No drinking and driving involved. Just a thought.
One last plea for golf Saturday morning. You do know it usually involves drinking a beer per hole (or two), right? It’s not like you’ll sober up!
I’m coming into town tomorrow night (Friday). I should get there around 7 or 8 - it all depends on when I get up and get rolling. I guess I’ll just call around to all the rooms and try to find you people. Can’t wait to see you all!
