Ack—some piss-poor composition on my part. I meant “Certainly, if it’s not too much effort, the good smileys could be added in manually”.
It’s a matter of course that my revised sentence would be interpreted to automatically exclude the Putz! smiley, which if I hear right, the use of which is durastically limited anyway. 
I miss yellow-Winky.

Yay! My little buddy is back!
I’ve cleared the cache, tried both IE and Firefox, and I’m still going through this thread wondering what in the world you people are talking about. I see the new checkmarks and messenger icons, but the smileys are still the same for me.

I’m so depressed. I pushed ctrl-F5, then rebooted, and even ctrl F5ed again and I still can’t see the new smileys! Everything else has changed though.
They’ve been changed back to the old ones already.
And here is what they temporarily looked like. (Except for the custom ones.)
Whew. I thought you all had gone to the Dark Side there for a moment. I finally got to page 3 only to discover that the old icons are back.

I don’t like the new look either, for the record. “Report bad post”? Is that new? Couldn’t that be worded better? I see tons of bad posts - anything with “alot” in it is a bad post to me.
