I just wanted to let you know that I am so happy you’re becoming a routine MMP’'er. I don’t contribute to this thread normally (I can’t keep up) but I do read it (I see you ALL, mwahahahahaha). You came to the SDMB with a powerfully strong, yet morbid, story that has caught the attention of many. Thanks for keeping around. Hijack the MMP? That’s unpossible!
It was bath day here at the house. Both beagles and the cat got a bath. Quincy, one of the beagles, got two baths because I saw a few fleas on his stomach a couple hours after the first bath.
Horsey pic as promised. He is still unnamed; we’re waiting for his quirks to show through. The vet’s coming out tomorrow afternoon to see him. I dewormed him yesterday.
And I’ve got gratuitous catpix while I’m here, 'cause that’s how I roll: Bitey, Kitt and Rubicante.
Horsey looks like a “Bob”.
I hope in a few months I can call him Fattie, 'cause he sure isn’t now. Poor guy.

It’s still thundering and overcast and all around us, people are getting up to 2" of rain. We got 10 drops. UNFAIR!!!
I’m offering some unsolicited testimony for Easy Off self-cleaning oven cleaner - that stuff is amazing! It’s way too hot to run the self-clean feature, and my oven was gross, so I bought a can of the cleaner. I let it sit overnight, and just about all of the gunk wiped off easily. I had to respray the bottom where the cooked-on residue was the worst, and a few hours later, it wiped off, too. Then I sprayed the shelves (in the garage, on paper) and they wiped clean with a sponge. I am very impressed. And I now have a clean oven. Envy me.
I chunked up 2 cantaloupes - **FCD ** pronounced them to be yummerrific. I also had a hunk of the watermelon that I bought for last week and forgot to bring out. It was OK, but not near as sweet as I’d hoped.
Where did the weekend go? Launch an investigation! I demand answers!!!

Woo hoo! We lost power for a little over two hours (4:20 to 6:30 PM), so I’m glad to be back on line and in the AC. I spent most of the time sitting on the patio, (still) reading HP.
Queenie, little horsey looks so sad! I’m glad that you have him now and will be taking care of him! He does need some fattening up. I vote for Bub, btw.
FCM, sorry you folks didn’t get any of the rain! 
We had a pretty good soaking today, although we’re still well below what we should have. Semi-drought conditions here; I’ve seen pics from St. Mary’s & Charles Co, though, showing the conditions there - it’s very bad, unfortunately.
I hope Swampbeer is enjoying his b-day and not having -too- many beerverages!
I was supposed to go grocery shopping, but was just getting ready to leave when the power went out, so now I’ll have to stop on the way home from work tomorrow. Ah well, then I can go to the farmer’s market on Tuesday afternoon. Looks like it will be a busy week upcoming for me. laughs

**tarra ** - I’ve been checking the radar loop - it keeps showing green and yellow over this part of St. Mary’s, but the pavement is dry. I hear thunder in the distance, so I assume someone is getting wet. Just not us. Bummer.
The beach was soooooooo icky today. I think it might’ve been because of the storm we had a few days ago, but there was green stuff and trash everywhere. Ewwwwwww.
On the other hand, I got a nice tan.
And I shall have chicken divon for dinner tonight. Muahaha.
Queenie, the horse looks adorable. I still haven’t given up the 8-year-old part of me that wants a pony for Christmas.
I don’t think anyone grows out of that. Imma go out and give him a good brushing when it cools down a little. Looks like someone gave him a maniacal haircut too - his mane’s all chopped up.
Off to get the souvlaki on the grill!

Survived the weekend with bro and niece and nephew. Mostly we chilled and watched Harry Potter movies. But we did go out to a pancake breakfast yesterday, which was fun, and went to get ice cream today. Oh, and watched my brother compete in a race yesterday.
I know I’ve missed stuff I wanted to say…maybe in tomorrow’s MMP.
