Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis cloudy and 45 Amurrkin out this mornin’. We might or might not get some rain. I’m hopin’ not cause OYKW’s yahd needs a mowin’ sump’n fierce and I want to get that done tomorrow. Yeah, I do get all pushy with him about doin’ that, why do you ask?
doggio great news about your mom! Good thoughts and prayers will continue from south Jawja.
Stuffed heart stuff is scary. Good thoughts and prayers for hubby and you too!
It’s Firday!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!
Off I go to seek more caffiene and brekkie for rumbly tummy after which irk purtification must commence.
Continued prayers and good thoughts for your Mom, Doggio - good news about the surgery. Stuffed, the green veggies have high concentrations of vitamin K which is a natural blood thinner. When you’re on coumadin, most of the healthier foods are taboo to be eaten, as strange as that sounds. Check with the doctor, though.
So glad it’s Friday. I need to be rid of this cold completely and soon. I have to be symptom free for six weeks before they’ll re-schedule the cataract surgery on the other eye. Have a great day, all, and happy weekend for those already on schedule. Also, many prayers going out to Japan today.
Yay for your Mom, Doggio! continued good thoughts and prayers for her, and for you and your husband, Stuffed. And Japan! The pictures I’m seeing are devastating! Hopefully the tsunamis won’t be too bad for Hawaii and the west coast.
I’ve been up for a while, horrified by the earthquake in Japan. (When your mother lives in Mexico City, earthquake news is the worst, no matter where it happens.)
Hope hubby’s medical stuff gets straightened out soon, Stuffed.
Trying to get moving, since I have the day off and would like to get a few things done.
The people behind me are arguing loudly (in other countries it would be called yelling). Boss-beside-me is humming. Another team is supposed to be doing data loads for a go-live that’s supposed to take place on April 1st: so far the clients have signed off on only two of the data-load files.
Hullo everyone. I’ve been crazy busy, so although I’ve been kind of skimming these past couple of weeks, I haven’t post much, if at all.
Happy belated, **BooFae **and congrats on the raise and promotion **taxi **and rebo.
I’m glad your mom is out of the hospital, doggio and I continue to keep her in my thoughts.
The news from Japan certainly is devastating. We have tsnumai warnings for our coast and even Puget Sound, which is about 20 miles from me. I don’t expect much, if anything in the Sound, although some little waves will hit our coast, I’m sure.
There isn’t much going on with me, otherwise. I’m just plugging along, working, living, etc.
Yay, doggio! Many hugs and good thought for you and Mom. **FedUp **- good thoughts for your spousal unit, too. Heart stuff is scary, for sure.
TGIF! I’m not on call this week so at 8 tomorrow morning, I’ll be headed to Mom’s with a bag full of afghans and shawls - 4 and 3 respectively, I think. And if daughter drives, I’ll be working on her afghan as we go. It’s going to be huge - it’s almost 6’ wide. It was just supposed to be 64" but it grew. So it’ll have to be at least 6’ long, and I expect it’ll be longer.
Daughter is going out tonight and I’m trying to decide whether to ask **FCD **to go out or have him pick up pizza on the way home. I s’pose I could ask his preference…
We just finished watching the first season of Dexter on Netflix st night - that is one SICK series! I’m loving it!
And that’s pretty much it. Hugs and smoochies all around!
I love the show Dexter. We are hooked, but since we don’t subscribe to the premium cable channels, we have watch at a friend’s house. We’re caught up now and just have to wait for the next season.
I suppose I should do something productive, but I think I’ll eat a little something first. I’m hungry.
I think I’m making project on the zombie project from hell. Sort of. I’m glad it’s the weekend, but I’m not looking forward to coming back to this next week!
Moooooooooom, where are VWife and I headed to stalk y’all for brekkies tomorrow?
Can you name a decent Mom’n’Pop place to try up your way? We’re headed to La Plata to by a second hand stove, since the one in the NeuvoLair is junk and I Don Wanna bug the landlady about fixing it. If we’ll be stalking you, we’ll be easy to spot in the 16’ Budget truck.
For everyone else, it’s Storage Unit Weekend. We’ll have the house cleared of the space takers, and make decent progress on settling in.
**BBBobbio **- you’ll have to stalk us on Sunday. Daughter and I are headed to my mom’s early tomorrow and **FCD **is staying home looking for a way to hang upside down to help his back. Poor baby… Anyway, you hit the only decent local breakfast place in Leonardtown. Linda’s Cafe is in Lex Park, but they don’t have a restroom or fountain drinks and the whole place seemed kinda grungy. There is a place in Charlotte Hall across from the flea market - we haven’t been there in years and we thought it was so-so, but there are always lots of cars in the lot. I don’t remember the name - it’s St. Mary’s something… I wish Bert’s did breakfast - they’re a diner, after all!
I wound up going to McKay’s for salad makin’s and wings and chips and red velvet cake for supper, which is fine. They had ice cream on sale, which was also fine. Daughter is gone and I’m almost done reading my on-line stuff, after which I’ll assume the knit position and watch something on TV or Netflix.
