Just FYI, the page breaks are dependent on your settings. It’s not safe to assume that everyone sees the same pagination in a thread.

Unfortunately, tapatalk doesn’t let me set my page length. It is 10 posts, and very annoying.

I have an older version of tapatalk, but every version I’ve run allows me to adjust page length.

Tap the upper left corner to bring up the menu. (The one that lets you choose between subscribed, new, browse, etc.) Then touch the icon of gears that i see in the upper right corner. That gives you a menu where you can change many options, including page length.

At least it does in the version I use, and in several older versions.

But people adjust the page length for different reasons, like how often do I want to have to load a new page. Look, the posts are numbered. Why not just refer to post number instead of page? Because, even in Tapatalk, which skips ignored posts, you still get a general idea of where to start. Whereas, if you give a page number, then it can be wildly unhelpful.

And now I must confess I’m the one who introduced him to the board. Our paths crossed in real life briefly when he was doing some contract work in my office, and when he asked me if I knew of a good place online to discuss science and evolution and theology, I steered him to SDMB. NOT knowing of his particular obsessions. Hoo boy.

Fortunately he had no desire to outstay his 30 day free membership. This was back in the day of pay to post. His free pass ended, his contract work ended, and away he went.

I swear I went through every menu on this app to remove the signature and set the page length. And I couldn’t find any way to do the latter. And now there it is. Thanks for the help. But I still think their use interface sucks.

Oh dear god, that kid was so annoying. I remember he was suspended for about a month. As soon as his suspension was lifted, he started something like 15 threads in a single night.
