The Office 5/17 Season Finale

Okay, that was a great ending.

Kelly: “Who was that?”
Ryan: “Nobody. Oh, and we’re through…”

Ryan is now Michael’s boss.

I haven’t stopped smiling since the end of the show. I am beyond happy.

E.

Now THAT is how you end a season!

Yeah, I’m pretty speechless. That was a great show.

And I think I may have said something similar after last year’s finale too.
These guys know how to write!

That was great. More laughs per minute than we’ve seen in a while.

So was Karen never really serious about interviewing for the position? I was a little confused by her abrupt departure to go have lunch with the girls.

The look on Pam’s face at the end and slightly watery eyes was perfect.

Why don’t more people watch this show? Is there any other comedy that is even close to this?

Oooh, I hadn’t thought about it from that angle yet! Heh. Michael’s not going to like that.

And speaking of Miachel, now he has a live-in jobless girlfriend with a boob job and emotional issues.

So, what’s going to happen with Karen? She doesn’t get the corporate job, so now will she be the third wheel in Scranton? Or will she just stay in NY and do some more job hunting?

I was expecting them to end it without showing us who he’d offered the job to. I hope we’re going to still be seeing Ryan. He’s a great character.

And I would so love to be able to read Creed’s blog.

Karen had already finished her own interview. She was in the middle of it when Jan had her meltdown.
I want to know what happened to Karen? Did Jim dump her?
I really, really want to read “creedthoughts.”

She’d already done her interview. I think it was just a question of whether she was going to hang around while Jim did his interview. And I got the impression that she was much more interested in New York life than Jim was.

Oh, okay, thanks. I was laughing so hard I must have missed that and some other stuff too, I’ll bet.

Jim looked weird with that neatly combed hair. But I could get used to it.

One of many chuckles: Meredith talking about Jan’s new boobs, and how in her experience, men would rather look at a woman’s back.

 <-- My face is still in this shape.

Great way to end the season. Jim articulated exactly what I felt since the merger - that he was back, but he hadn’t really been back. Now he’s BACK. I hope season 4 gives us more of the Jim-Pam fun that season 2 was all about.

It was pretty ambiguous where Karen was left off in the mix. She clearly stated that she couldn’t stay in Scranton, so I don’t think she’ll be around much next season. That’s okay with me, but I did like her.

Poor Michael. Poor, poor man. I hate seeing the misery on his face when he’s with Jan.

We had to pause the DVR when Michael asked Hunter to pass on the motorboat.

I think this is two season finales in a row that have left me with tears in my eyes over the Pam-Jim thing. Absolutely brilliant writing throughout the episode.

I’m really looking forward to seeing Ryan as Michael’s boss next season. And I hope that they do something good for Karen - I really like her as a character, and I don’t want to see her just kind of forgotten, or turned into a mere obstacle for Pam and Jim.

That’s cool. But where can I get a .pdf of some Schrute bucks?

Seriously! I’d pay a pile of Stanley Nickels for one!

That’s it. The Office is the greatest show on TV. Jan’s boobs. Michael’s assembling of the female advice committee. Dwight’s new world order and perfect emotional breakdown after getting the premature promotion. Ryan coming out of nowhere, getting the promotion and dumping Kelly. Ryan setting up Creed with a Word document blog. Creed’s blog describing Pam’s outburst and not having any idea who she is (not on TV, but on his NBC blog). Pam’s perfect fourth wall camera monologue going from sadness to utter delight when Jim asks her out to dinner.

I’ll miss Karen, but I suspect she’ll be back.

And by the way, what did Creed say about boobs? I’ve listened to it 3 times and I can’t make it out. Just before he says “Swing low, sweet chariot”.
