The Office - Casino Night

May 31, according to the Bravo website.

AerynSun – the coolest person ever – sent me a copy of the finale. (And a special thanks to Rum Monkey for offering a DVD just after she sent me the tape.) I wasn’t going to bump, but now that it is…

Jim is the poster boy for how not to be a “nice guy.” Were he an actual Nice Guy, he wouldn’t have ever made the move. He would have just sat around and stewed about his dreamgirl choosing the “asshole” Roy over his supreme Nice Guy-ness.

So, to those who wonder what the deal is with Nice Guys and their bitching, this show perfectly illustrated it for you. They are self-loathing losers who didn’t have the balls to make their move, which is exactly what Jim would have been had he not done anything about his feelings for Pam. It’s a fine line but vast divide between good guy and Nice Guy.

Go Jim!

I missed this ep the first time around and had no idea what the ending was. NBC showed it again last night, but from reading the above comments, they obviously cut out the extended portions, the bastards! Loved the series, though, and the romantic/sexual tensions with Jim/Pam/Dwight/Whatsername are played very well.

I think they had to cut stuff because it was originally an extended episode, 45 minutes instead of 30 I think. I wonder what they cut out? That’d be a crappy job, having to figure out what is less funny and important than everything else.
