Sorry about the late thread. Seems to me like the Brian Story arc might be over. What do you guys think. Also, Andy’s back… and he’s a jackass.
Yeah. I really hope he get’s fired over this. I didn’t even realize his trip was supposed to be a secret; I just thought he was on unpaid leave. :dubious: Apparenly nobody else did either, but somehow managed to avoid spilling the beans to Wallace. And Dwight was the only one who wanted to tell Wallace?
P.S. I liked how Daryl only when along with Oscar to avoid seeming homophobic, then became deeply offended when the shop refused to give them the discount because they’re both men.
I cracked up at the salon lady poking her fingers together and shaking her head.
That was weird that this is the first we heard that Andy’s absence was a secret from David Wallace. And why the decision to turn Andy into a villain? Earlier, he had been shown to be a nice guy.
And before that he was a villain. My guess is they are turning him into a jerk so Erin can end up with new Jim.
Interesting guess… Was your first clue the part where Erin dumped Andy and then went and kissed Pete?
Enjoyable episode. I think they’ve really picked things up the past couple, after that extreme low a few weeks ago.
Andy worked as a villain before, and he works just as well this time. They way they set him up leaving Erin all alone set all of this up pretty well. The way Erin broke up with Andy echoes the situation with Gabe in previous seasons, but it seems like she has grown as a character and handled it better. Well, she’s grown as much as any over the top sit-com character can grow.
I liked Dwight’s impersonation of Andy’s humming while he was pretending to be him. zip zop zippity doo!
The Pam/Jim/Brian stuff ended a bit abruptly. But, there really wasn’t any other way that could end. It’s probably better that they didn’t spread it out.
I mean without people bitching about her dumping Andy since that relationship was built up last season.
Is there a place to watch the cold open online? I think I missed it.
I don’t think there was one. My DVR kicked on with the first few notes of the theme.
So you’re telling me that David Wallace didn’t know that Ed Helms was off making The Hangover 5 FOR THREE MONTHS?
Wallace didn’t come by the office or call in all that time? (and don’t tell me that it was explained by Helms, because that was idiotic)
Cancel this insult to our intelligence immediately.
And the reason I care so much is because at one time it was very good, although never as good as the British version.
There wasn’t one.
It was canceled several months ago as you well know. This is the last season. You will only have to suffer through seven more episodes, the last of which is an hour long.
You again? This is really tiresome.
I liked Pam’s insistence that Jim stay and have the fight, instead of running away from the situation and letting it fester. I also liked the end with Erin and Pete.
Andy’s behavior is admittedly a bit at odds with how his character was built up in the last few seasons, but he’s always had a good bit of douchebaggery in him. He’s just come full circle.
You mean, we will only have to suffer through seven more episodes of koufax bitching about being strapped to a chair with his eyelids taped up and forced to watch a show he doesn’t like any more? Only seven more threads where koufax calls for its cancellation every week when we all know this is the last season and they’re definitely going to air the remaining episodes? Thank heavens!
koufax, posters are getting tired of reading this every week. If you had something insightful to say, that’s fine even if it’s critical. But this isn’t it. Either post something new or stop participating in these threads.
You’re right, at its best the US Office was light years better than the British version.
I agree with this. Unfortunately, it’s fallen so very far since then.
Wasn’t my question about David Wallace not knowing that the guy who ran the place wasn’t there for three months? My point is how ridiculous the show has become. I thought that was insightful.
And I have always posted what a talented cast it is (except Darryl)
That was funny. A Clockwork Orange is one of my favorite movies.
Insightful? Nope…something else…what’s the word?
Oh, yes.
Tiresome.
