The official election day 2012 thread: 11/6/12

Crap, I have her up 1.2% with 8.7% reporting. That Google link I’m using must be slow.

On Wisconsin! MSNBC projects Obama will win it.

CNN is showing it real close now. Real close.

Sherrod Brown takes Ohio. Obama should be along shortly.

Tucker Carlson is blaming the press for Romney’s poor showing so far. That and Sandy will probably be the themes of the excuse-making.

Ack! Now at 81% and Romney’s back in the lead by 700 or so. I have to quit watching it.

So does BBC, but it’s obviously old footage on the Beeb, as it still looks broad daylight. In reality, it’s dark there now.

Fox News holding out hope that Romney will thread the needle, and blaming Obama’s support on foreign policy to lack of media coverage of Benghazi.

Just saw on Facebook that NBC has called Warren winner of her race. You heard it straight from the horse’s third hand! Daily Beast link

Any word on his re-election?

Well, really it’s the stupid press for reporting on something as lame as a Hurricane hitting the populous eastern seaboard, killing 100 or so. They should have been covering Romney’s more important stuff.

CNN had some nighttime footage and some theorizing that they could be voting until 10pm ET or later. Not sure on the current status, but at this point I’m thinking FL won’t be called until tomorrow at the earlier - hopefully it won’t matter.

The Pubbies drop one in Indiana. Unforced error. Dumbasses.

Can’t quit. 82% counted, Obama now up by 14,000

w/ 2% reporting:
Candidate Votes Pct.
Paul Ryan I 3,055 58.2%
Rob Zerban 2,124 40.4%

WTF just happened? Romney is 0.5% on Intrade right now.

ETA: OK, they have him back up to 5% after two refreshes.

On NBC they said there’s a rogue tweet going around that they’ve called the Massachussetts senate race, but they say they haven’t.

Oops. Now they’re calling it for Warren.

Hey look at Florida. Remember hanging chads and dimpled chads? Whee.

So for me, every “interactive electoral map” the media has to offer is broken.

And Bill O’Reilly brings forth this charming explanation of the day’s events.
