The official election day 2012 thread: 11/6/12

No, panhandle is Central time zone and all polls close 7pm local time.

I just want you guys to know that you had better keep posting the updates as soon as you see them, because I am on very limited internet and all the fancy graphics and maps and websites are soooo slow… but reloading this thread is very fast! So… keep up the good work all

So with Obama only taking Vermont so far, is Rush at his Watch Party predicting a 535-3 Romney victory right now?

Thank you for that bit of trivia. The things you find out you never knew…

In Virginia CNN is reporting results from mostly conservative areas, it may change now to a slight temporary Romney advantage.

I’m seeing Romney up 59-40 in VA on CNN.

NBC calls SC for Romney.

Well, I did my best.

Do these maps refresh automatically or do I have to keep reloading the page?

Just the break the Romney campaign has been waiting for!!!

As a swing state indicator (Colorado), I as a Republican voted for

Johnson (L). Mrs Cad [Obama] told me if the President loses by one vote I’m in trouble. I said if Romney loses by one vote she owes me.

I see Obama leading in NH, and now widening the gap in Florida again, so it looks good to me right now for team Obama.

Tell me they’ve counted mostly red counties so far in VA for the Senate race, please. Talk me down here…

Yes, the counted counties are in central and SW Virginia.

Oh, good. I shouldn’t get this worked up so early. I should pace myself…

Yes, that’s the way it always goes in VA. Blue counties are the last to report. Romney needs a big lead to hold up for a while.

I’m barely restraining myself from posting on Facebook, “CNN has just called Ohio for Romney.” Causing heart attacks among my friends wouldn’t actually be funny.

Yeah. NoVA and Richmond are the big, high-population Democratic areas, and they’re not reporting results yet. It’s fine.

The gap seems to be closing. Also, if indeed Obama wins NH and Florida then that should put him over the 270 marks, as long as he takes the other states that were solidly his according to the polls.

Oh, for God’s sake. HuffPost is CALLING SC for Obama.

Those people need to hire some goddam adults.

Romney is up 57-42. You should call it :stuck_out_tongue:

I know it’s very early results but I hate seeing that presidential numberline at the top of the CNN page…Obama 3 Romney 33. :stuck_out_tongue:
