I’m up, caffeinated, and getting ready to get sheveled. Roomie’s cat decided to celebrate his 16th birthday by singing the Song Of His People at 0300. Stoopid cat.
FCM, the forecast for here is getting colder, not warmer.:dubious: Did I miss spring/summer/fall?
We opted to skip the gym, but we did go to Food Lion because we were out of milk, plus they had strawberries on sale. The temp is all the way up to 41°. rah. I expect we’ll get outside eventually.
It might be a good day to bake something. What to bake… hmmmmm…
blurf
today I sign the lease
moving is expensive - not only do I have to give a huge check to the leasing agent, I have to pay for the movers (they’ll be packing me and unpacking me as well so yay)
I think I have to get back to work real soon now
Moooom, you reminded me that I should make cookie dough today. Thanks
It’s a day off but I’ve got much to work on. So off to it, I suppose, after I’m caught up on my online activities.
Happy Firday!
It’s an overcast 39 degrees with a high of 55.
I’m sorry for all y’all with the pollen problems. I used to have them but not anymore. I don’t know what changed but something did.
Mom comes home today. I wonder if there will be fireworks.
Curiouser and curiouser. My sister-in-law and her husband live in Easton - in fact my wife is heading up there this afternoon for the weekend.
Must. Not. Make. pearl necklace joke here.
You show amazin’ strenght BBBobbio. Not even a <snerk>.
I suppose I should don goin’ out in the public clothin’ in a bit and headin’ over to the church house.
Still rainy and ick out.
I think you did.
I get caught up in the Cleaver part and start thinking how lucky it is for some people that I don’t have one handy.
Which just now made me think that did the writers of LitB wink a little at the name Beaver Cleaver? Even more important, why has it taken me this long to catch it.
Since today is my RDO, I opted to sleep in until 7:00 am. I got up, made some coffee, let the dogs out to do their bidness, and have been reading the news on-line.
I’m on my third cup of coffee, and soon I shall commence operation clean-up. I need to dust, vacuum, and wash the floors. After that, I shall clean myself up and head out to the store to buy some groceries.
It’s somewhat wet outside and gray. It rained pretty much all day yesterday, and last I heard, the rain will continue, on and off until the end of next week.
We’re going up to see my daughter and son-in-law on Sunday for brunch. They invited us. This will be the first Easter without my MiL, and although Easter was never a big deal to us, she always wanted to have Easter dinner together. My husband wasn’t really interested in doing anything for Easter, but since the kids invited us, we’ll go.
We’re just waiting to hear when we actually close on MiL’s house. It’s sold, and more paperwork was signed on Saturday. One more thing out of the way.
Probably because you are a moral and upright person, unlike most of us.
Moral and upright sounds a lot better than naive and oblivious.
Mawnin Mumpers
Starting my slow roll day with a little Manu Chao, live even.
Off to band practice shortly as The Vantines have a show tomorrow, excited, we have new stuff.
Happy Freya Day all
Jim
Closing shift today, so I slept in. I was down for well over 12 hours, probably close to 16 (the Unisom-clone helped a bit). DH’s snoring wasn’t as bad when he did come to bed, and I was down hours before he was, so I actually got some decent sleep. Wish we knew what the problem is with his shoulder, though. Even had a cooperative cat as far as not badgering me for breakfast before I was ready to get up.
TWC thinks it’ll probably rain Tuesday. My hips think it might be a day or two before that, and I’m hoping they’re right so the aching will go away.
Finished on-register cashier training yesterday (there was a classroom session, followed by the on-register training), so I’m apparently now eligible to be summoned as a backup as needed. I suspect it’ll be pretty soon. Cashier supervisor greeted the news that I was moving from back office to sales floor with “you’re in the next cashier class”, and has expressed delight at getting me trained and ready to go.
Also closing tomorrow. Joy.
New printer decided it only wanted to print two colors on any sort of reliable basis. It’s been returned, replacement arriving in a few days (ugh).
Home from Good Friday service over to the church house. I was Lector and did ush duty. There were more people than I expected to show up it bein’ so dreary and rainy out.
I took some chikin noodle soup outta da freezer before I left. I figure that will be a good dindin on a dreary day. I’ll even toast up some cheese sammiches cause they’re so good and comforty.
Sari, you reminded me of a joke.
What’s the dirtiest line ever said on television?
Ward, weren’t you a little rough on the Beaver last night
Thank You! I’ll be here all week!
Made me laugh.
I am so surprised I was ever allowed to watch that show.
Oh well, unlike the Lone Ranger and Roy Rogers LitB, didn’t have me begging my parents to buy me a pony.
Nap or irk, decisions decisions.
I doubt Mama Plant was aware of any double entendre.
The lease is signed!
:high five:
:goose: with the other hand
Mazel tov!
