The Pay-It-Forward MMP

This is what we (the MMP) are getting swampy for Christmas this year

**rosie **- I don’t want to know how you came across that item… don’t wanna know…

Back from dinner and it was really nice. Very attentive service, very nice dining room, very good food, but dummy me left my take-home container on the table. I’d gotten the scallop pasta primavera, and I could barely eat half of the pasta, so I was going to have it for lunch tomorrow. Except we were several miles down the road when I realized I’d left it on the table. Dammit. No sense in going back - they’d have tossed it. Oh well.

Now we’re in for the evening.

Tiime to recline. MWAH!

Dindin has been ingested, and JDD and Partner have gone back to the horsepistol to check on JDD’s mom one more time today. I believe they really enjoyed bein’ able to have some comfort food, relax and have some laughs for a little while. Hopefully she will move into the nursin’ home with JDD’s Dad early next week, as in Monday or Tuesday. Sad as that sounds, I’m glad they’re together again. JDD’s Dad has been in the nursin’ home a year and a half. Anywho, ‘twas fun. Kitchen is also all clean and dishwasher is doin’ it’s thang.

OYKW and I are probably gonna crash early tonight. I know I’s tahrd. I didn’t get in the nappage I wanted today.

rosie it seems to me that would be like wearin’ an article of clothin’ and would thus not be nekkid bacon fryin’.

Ok, time to go lie upon the bed and watch teevee until sleepy time. Judgin’ by all the yawnin’ we’re both doin’ that will most likely be a short time from now.

Nitey Nite Y’all!

Plugged in the tree and just going to turn the Twinkie to “acid flashback” and watch the lights dance.

Still haven’t found my keys. I am full of grrrrrrrr.

Mumpers, let’s form a search party & help her find them, because if she finds them then she can go out, & if she’s out she’s not searching the intertoobz for more, ummm, ahhh, interestin’ <shudder> holiday gifts.

I have a case of the crabbies. I’m tired, achy, PMSy, and really irritated by DH’s groans about how tired HE is, considering that I’m a working student who also does at least half the housework that actually gets done (including stressing about our hideous financial situation).

Chocolate chip cookies and the Grumpy Cat movie are on this evening’s agenda.

Canes lose, the freezers at work failed. Still freakin’ Christmas.

:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

swampy is a backwoods southern Good Ol’ Boy. It’s a miracle he even has a TV so it’s not surprising he hasn’t seen high quality science fiction like Doctor Who

Have you asked your cat?

I’d forgotten I’d bought Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris, so I decided to start reading it last night. I figured being a bunch of short essays, it’d be chock full of logical stopping points when I got tired. What I didn’t reckon was getting tired about 3 pages into an essay and struggling to stay awake till I finished. Yeah, I know, I could have turned out the lights and started over next time, but it’s the principle of the thing!

Oh yeah, and David Sedaris is a hoot!

Today, we’re getting another motorcycle. Yep. Another Fat Boy. A member of FCD’s HOG chapter went back home to Germany and because it would have been crazy stupid expensive to take his bike and get it registered there and all, he left it with his gf to sell. He was asking a crazy cheap price for it - at least a third under the lowest value in the book, and his bike is in better shape than that. **FCD **figures he can do a little work on it, then sell it in the spring for a profit.

Before **FCD **got his job, it wasn’t financially viable for us to take the risk - that was a big cash outlay with just a wee bit trickling in every month. But now that he’s working again, we won’t have to strip our savings. So last week, he struck a deal to buy it. And today, the check and paperwork will change hands and the bike will come home with us.

It’s a fairly basic bike, one year older than FCD’s wheels. He plans to give it a good detailing, swap out some parts with his bike, put some of his unused saddle bags on it, possibly paint it, then sell it this spring. We shall see how it goes. In the meantime, he’s making is bike into a bagger, and since he’s no longer futzing in the basement all day, it’ll take longer than he’d originally planned. But he’s got projects and plans, so he’s happy.

And, no, it will not become my bike. :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway, we’re meeting the seller at noon, and after we get back, I’ll finish de-leafing the yard. Pretty full day, I’d say.

Happy Sunday!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 31 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 66 and sunny for the day. I foresee another day of not a whole lot other than deheathenization and perhaps ironin’ some shirts I need to get ironed up. I hates to iron but I lurves me some one hunnert percent cotton shirts.

rosie my talkin’ pitcher box is Amurrkin. It don’t git that there furrin stuff. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ok, that’s all I got for now. I need more caffiene and to consider what to feed rumbly tummy. At some point, purtification for deheathenization must also commence. It’s a never endin’ whirlwind at da cave!

Happy Sunday Y’all!

Headed out to west Tennessee today. My late SO’s stepmom and I are going to visit some of Mike’s family and then to the cemetery. That’s a long drive, so shower time it is.

That’s no excuse. My dad is a backwoods southern Good Ol’ Boy and he was watching Dr. Who back in the '70s.

Mmmmmm, Brigadier Lethbridge Stewart.

Niice long lie in accomplished!

Made it down to the allotment for the first time in weeks. Not for long- it started raining after a bit, but I got what I needed to do done first, and was just pottering by the time.

I should go shopping, get some food for the week, but my givadammer’s malfunctioning. It shuts soon, so I prob’ly should. I’ll appreciate it later. I’ll get myself a drink, see if that helps.

Up, caffeinated, off to work.

Mmmmmm…Sarah Jane Smith.

Yesterday I went into my old workplace and ran into my favourite local comedian. I got a picture with him.

Later on in the day, I went to a great Christmas show! It featured many different musicians/bands. I really enjoyed the show!
I decided to hang around afterwards, and I’m glad I did, because I got to meet Sam Roberts, who had performed in the show. (I don’t know how well-known he is outside of Canada.) I didn’t really get to say anything to him other than “Hi, I love your music, nice to meet you,” but that was cool. As a musician, I know musicians appreciate people telling them that they like their music.

I still have to work on music arrangements today. And remind me that I have to deliver some crafts to a friend’s house.

Happy Sunday!

It’s a cloudy 43 degrees outside, warmer than it has been.

Al I have planned for today is irk. I’d like to get up and start putting stuff away but I need money more than need organization.

If she sends me the make and model I can probably find a local high school kid to hotwire it for her.

Speaking of which ------- anyone out there know of good quality DVD boxed sets of like the first 6 Doctors? One set per Doctor maybe?
Anyone volunteer to start us this week? If not I hereby do so.
