The Pay-It-Forward MMP

Of course! But then again, what most folks call “prostitution” we usually refer to as “investing in the futures market”.

**rosie **- I’m honored that your wishes replaced your usual morning blurf!

I’m thinking the 31st is the chickie-n-dumplins anniversary. We’ll wait till the weekend for a proper dinner out - that’ll give us time to decide where we want to go. It’s funny - there are restaurants we’ve passed and one or the other of us will say “We need to try that sometime.” And then we forget what place it was, so we never seem to make it!

Meanwhile, I stripped the bed, found and put on the electric mattress cover, and put on clean sheets and pillow cases - well, clean until Taz jumped up and left cat hair on the sheets. I do not understand why he feels compelled to interfere with bed-making. Idiot cat. However, we will now have toasty sheets at sleepy-time. Yay!

**kopek **- I’ll save the dirty underwear for Christmas.

I made it home.

No dead mice on the floor. No droppings we could find.
In the past whenever I used decon the mice would be considerate and go hide in the wall or someplace to die. Not these mice, they seem to prefer the middle of the floor. Fortunately Sah-dog has no interest in such things so I don’t have to worry about him disposing of them and getting sick.

I have to call the fourth mortgage company to send me a notice telling me my payment was due on Dec 1. This came after Dec 1 and I had already made a payment to the third mortgage company.
I was going to ignore it but knowing how things go for me, I will be making payments to one company and another will be foreclosing on me.

Ain’t life grand?!

Happy Chativersary!

I has a meh. That’s what happens to a blurf when it sticks around all day. I need to spend another hour beating the Actual Opening of the Continuing Epic into a readable form.

Howdy from da cave. I made the executive decision that tonight’s dindin shall be chikin noodle soup (homemade, of course) and crusty bread which I stopped and bought (as opposed to shoplifted I guess) from the sto’.

Thoughts, vibes, good wishes and prayers would be much appreciated for JDD right now. His father is in a nursin’ home and has been for a while. His mother has been stayin’ at home with someone to stay with her at nights and on the weekends (JDD and Partner have been goin’ up there every other weekend, with his brother and sister also takin’ turns) but it’s time now to make other arrangements. Today she had to go to the horsepistol and has been diagnosed with pneumonia for not the first time this year even. She says she wants to go to the nursin’ home now and JDD (who has the decision makin’ authority) is arrangin’ it so hopefully it will be from the horsepistol to the nursin’ home. She has said this in the past but then changed her mind. This time he’s forcin’ the issue so he could use the good thoughts, vibes, etc. His brother will be ok whatever with it all but his sister will probably kick up a fuss. She’s also under the delusion that her father will “get better and go home” but, that ain’t gonna happen. Miss Becky and Mr. Frank (what? I’m southern that’s how we roll) are both ninety years old. This is needless to say, takin’ a toll on JDD to have to do this.

He knows he has Partner, OYKW, and me to lean on for support, but extra support from complete total strangers is a good thing as well.

Partner and He usually go up to large and in charge Dawson to see his father on Tuesday nights. I told him not to worry about that as OYKW and I will go. Mr. Frank likes us so he’ll be glad to see us. At JDD’s request I will tell him that Miss Becky is in the horsepistol and he’s dealin’ with that tonight.

This has been your MMP downer of the day. We now return you to the regularly scheduled MMP.

I am commencing to make Positive Waves.

Good thoughts to JDD, his partner and his family.

More and more of my friends and family are dealing with aging parents… Good thoughts and extra strength to JDD and his family!!!

Recline time. MWAH!

{{{{{{{{Swampster and buds}}}}}}}}}

Worked, got rained on. home. Beer. Tommorrow, I have to deal with The Hag From Hell[sup]TM[/sup]

I remember Gloria. Candi is much better.

You should be. Juan is taking a dirt nap and you’re cracking jokes during such a sombrero occasion.

Happy Chativersary!!!

:sending prayers to JDD and JDDad :

sari, how many mortgages do you have?:dubious:

Buy you chocolate at astore 5miles away, and walk there. It’ll burn off the calories, and you won’t have to give up one of life’s greatst pleasures.

Getting older sucks, it sucks even more to watch others get older.

I screamed tonight. I don’t know why I screamed, just because I rolled my computer desk closer and a mouse strolled out from under it, that is no reason to scream.

I missed the call from the BatMan, he may be a MiceMan too.

Same here - for him and all his support system.

Howdy Y’all! Home from visitatin’ over to the nursin’ home.

First…

HAPPY FAIRYCHATIVERSARY!!!

Second, JDD’s mother was admitted to the ICU with pneumonia, an irregular heart rate, and very low potassium level. Looks like several days of treatment are in store for her.

Third, JDD’s father took the news of that very well. He knows she has a history of bouts with pneumonia. I did not mention about her comin’ to the nursin’ home as I figure that’s JDD’s place. JDD told me the nursin’ home has a private room she can go to for now. His father is in a semi-private room with another man right now. The man’s family has agreed that he can move to another semi-private room when one becomes available so Miss Becky can then be in the room with Mr. Frank. So that’ll work for now I reckon.

Thanks for the hugs, good thoughts etc. Like I always say, Mumpers be the bestest!

This could be a handy time saver if you wake up late & have to go…& hafta go. :stuck_out_tongue:

Where did you move to when you left Liberia? :dubious:

Candi is dandy, but liquor is quicker!
This couple is in a car accident, die, & go up to heaven. She’s in line first. St. Peter tells her that because she’s only had a so-so life, she can get into heaven; however, she’ll have to be handcuffed to a bum as her penance.

A couple of days go by & she sees her hubby handcuffed to a gorgeous, buxom model. Infuriated, she drags her bum over to see St. Peter & asks him what’s going on. St. Peter’s response is that it’s not at all what she thinks it is. You see, her husband is the model’s penance.

For some reason, that joke seems really appropriate here!
Good wishes to JDD/'rents

Na na na na na na Mice man!?!?
I bet if you put up the BatSignal, he’d come on the double. Well, that always worked for Commissioner Gordon.

Happy FairyChatVersary!

Sunnyson survived suspension day. They sent work home. I expected fits, but he was happy and well behaved all day. No complaints. Phew. We had a long talk about not smacking kids, even if they pelt you with dodge balls. He seemed to actually grasp that maybe this wasn’t a good strategy for making friends and influencing people. Fingers crossed.

MIL flew home.

Big storm in tomorrow. I guess we’re working on catching up on that drought deficit. Which is all to the good. I like green trees much better than brown ones.

Happy Wednesday, cause y’all get to it faster 'n I will.

The BatMan called.

The ::gulp:: news is that it costs $340 just for the inspection.

The good news is from my description on the guano is that it is probably one lone (probably a male) bat, it seems they are pooping machines, and he may not even be roosting in my attic.
The temperature of an attic fluctuates too much over the winter and bats prefer to hibernate in caves where the temperature is more constant.
It the temperature of the attic drops much below 55 the bat will look for somewhere else to sleep. Every time I go away I set the heat to 60 so I’m sure the attic is well below 55.
Of course my friend suggested buying a few air conditioners to run in the attic - freeze the sucker out.

He also suggested I spray the guano with a mixture of bleach and water, not saturated but enough to keep the dust down, sweep it up with short broom strokes and in small piles, wearing a mask and gloves, then put down a tarp or sheet and see if the mess reappears.
If I still have a problem then call him back.

He said to dump the guano in with my flowers, very rich fertilizer. It’s going in the trash and double bagged at that.

Even if the bat roosted here this year it doesn’t mean he will come back next year but in the mean time I can get somebody to seal up any opening the bats can get through.
Unfortunately, old brick houses are what bats like best.

So that was my lesson on bats and I appreciate all the information.

How low can I safely set the heat when I go away for a few days? I don’t want my pipes to freeze but I want to chill the attic.

You are. The idea is to find a girl missing all of her teeth.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN 'Tis 38 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 57 for the day.

sari ICK! Hope Mr. Bat goes away soonest. I would think if you set your thermostat much lower, it’d take a while to heat the house up when you are home.

Ok, that’s all I got for now. I need more caffiene and to feed rumbly tummy. Then, alas and alack, purtification for irk must commence. Rah.

Happy Hump Day Y’all!

What a horrible night!! Higgs woke shortly after 3 needing to pee. **FCD **took her out, then let her into our room, hoping she’d settle and snooze. Yeah, right. He needed to sleep, so I took her to the living room. First I tried the sofa, but it’s terribly uncomfortable, especially with a dog and a cat using you as a mattress. Then I assumed the recline position - better, but not great. Still, I must have dozed because next thing I knew, it was 6 and **FCD **was up and getting dressed. I’d tahred! Possibly because I was up till 11:30 reading. <yawn>

He’s gone to work, I’ve got a load of jeans in the washer, and I just had breakfast. I’m going to wash 2 loads of jeans and the sheets today. The rest of the stuff will wait till tomorrow. And once everything is on the lines, I may try to nap a bit. Somewhere along the line, I’ll need to empty the dishwasher and figure out what we’re having for supper - right about now, sketties sound good and easy.

At least we’re promised some sun today and tomorrow. YAY!

Happy Wednesday!
