I didn’t rewatch, but I’ll take your word for it. When Whitaker first noticed his badge missing it was right after bumping into someone while exiting a trauma room. Looked like a classic pickpocket move to me. I was expecting someone had stolen it for nefarious purposes.
There’s only one episode left, so there’s not a lot of time for a storyline about Whitaker’s missing ID badge. (And, BTW, it should be a simple matter to replace his badge and disable the missing one.)
Yeah, that’s another reason I was thinking my original idea was wrong. One more episode? Why even bother with that kind of plot line?
In the first season (perhaps the first episode), Whitaker had multiple sets of scrubs spoiled by vomit, blood or other bodily fluids. At some point, it’s just a joke.
I just think it’s a red herring. They know the audience speculates about what is going to happen. Whitaker’s lost badge+Langdon dealing with pain+Langdon’s look coming out of the bathroom=OMG. But probably not.
Welp. Duke’s got Robbie’s bike to himself for a spell. He’s got his tools. He’s got Robbie’s blessing to “work on Bonnie”.
I have to say that I literally cringed when that ambulance hit Bonnie. When I was a teen, Indians, Triumphs, BSAs and Harleys ruled the road, and my dream bike was a Triumph 650 Bonneville. The guy across the street had one and I would have happily killed him for it.

If there’s one overriding theme of this show, it’s that sometimes, shit just happens.
Sometimes shit happens all over your scrubs.
At first I thought maybe Whittaker’s badge was what jammed the shredder, but if you go back and watch closely, he did lose it in the ambulance while talking to Ogilvie.
And in the end, Robby never even got on his bike at all. Jury’s still out on whether Duke left with a pocketful of spark plugs.
They kinda went anticlimactic for a lot of the plot threads; I guess that’s a luxury they can afford, seeing as how they know they are coming back for season 3. They seemed to be heavily implying that Robby is going to take in Baby Jane Doe. We also got some more details on Robby’s abandonment issues.
I don’t know if Dr. Al-Hashimi will be back next season or not; I haven’t seen online where they’ve mentioned whether or not Sepideh Moafi is returning to the cast. The end of her story arc could go either way.
I did very much enjoy Mel and Trinity letting it all out to “You Oughta Know” at the end!

I doubt that very much. The baby was a device to get Robby to talk. But who knows, I might be wrong.
I wonder if it’s hard to pretend to sing badly when you can sing that good.
If you go through all of the credits there is a nice little behind the scenes short about the props and behind the scenes people.
Yeah, I don’t see him taking in the baby.
I’m glad they gave Langdon a good speech at the end. He’s been pretty needy the whole season, understandably, but it’s good to see some backbone.
It’ll be really interesting to see who comes back next year.
Overall a pretty disappointing season.
Too much that just doesn’t make sense for the individual characters.
Beginning from the beginning. Robby had said it with the diabetic guy, mistake was not picking a high enough place to jump. Robby know that a motorcycle head injury is not a sure suicide, could put him exactly where that diabetic man now is.
To the near end: what motivated Al-Hashimi to share that with Robby? At that specific point in time?
And his it isn’t safe because what if there is someone who needs a critical procedure and she has a seizure while the other attending is busy doing a critical procedure This from someone who objects to having two attending at all with no back up for that at all? Dumb.

I mean, yes that’s the point? And is just what Langdon was talking about. All of that is completely in character with how Robby has been behaving this season.

I think he’s going to become baby daddy to Baby Jane Doe. After lamenting having no one in his life and seeing how happy Whitaker is, he’s found a new purpose in his life.
Gemmill has been careful not to say too much about season three, but he has let a few minor things drop. Are those considered as needing spoilers?
I think Dana said there was some process by which healthcare workers could adopt or foster babies easily? Because Robbie, as a single man who works insanely long shifts, seems a terrible foster parent.
I wonder if it’s hard to pretend to sing badly when you can sing that good.
No, not especially. It’s the same skill set, you’re just applying it differently.
(My party trick is refusing to sing Happy Birthday well. My sister-in-law, at least, finds it amusing.)
as a single man who works insanely long shifts
who is scheduled to take three months off work …
It would be … cheap … if that is what they did, but Dana’s looking for a staff foster does make us wonder if her last name is actually Chekhov …
