I have been reading stuff online about Black Friday, I am glad my Friday is grey and gloomy, and does not involve retail experiences of any sort.
It’s been a very busy week here in the land of mad Chinese scientists, I’ve spent most of it trying to get to grips with a bunch of very complicated timetables for which I have very little information at all. I have finally emailed them all out now and the academics can fight it out amongst themselves, then hopefully someone will tell me what changes they need to make and I can get on with it. Right now, I do not want to hear the word “timetables” at all…
Fun story in the Daily Outrage, it would appear that we’re going to have an unusually long spell of cold weather, possibly until March. Has anyone told these idiot journalists that we normally just call it “winter”?

I watched Extreme Couponing black friday shopping yesterday. Those people are friggin crazy, I thought at one store a fight was going to break out with people jumping in line.
I think the mouse is laughing at me. the sticky trap has droppings in it but no mouse. maybe they have teflon feet?
Poor sah-dog he wants to go out but he is afraid of the steps today. He’s driving Sah-son crazy.
And we’re back. We bought the trailer - well, we will tomorrow. It was in very good shape. The ad said “Best Offer” and I just asked him what he wanted for it. He named a figure that was 2/3 of what we’d planned our opening offer to be and less than 1/4 the cost of a new one. This one is 8 years old, but except for the dirt from being parked outside, it’s practically new! He hardly every used it. So we’re picking it up tomorrow.
After that, we stopped by JoAnn’s and I got fabric to make a squid - bright pink fake suede, with a pink and grey spotted print for the “suckers” - I have bags of stuffing from old projects, so yay!
Next stop was Food Lion where, among other things, we scored a 10# Butterball for $7!!! It’s going into the rotisserie in a little while. We got a few other items and thanks to my MVP card being registered on line, I got an instant $10 off on any purchase over $50 today - we ended up getting what would have been over $40 in groceries at regular price for $19 - the turkey alone was originally $27. Cha-ching!!! 
So it’s been a good day. Just finished a sammich, so now it’s time to head to my studio and start glazing. Good times!
Went to school this morning. Didn’t get a chance to sneak onto this message board at school. Tonight I have orchestra rehearsal. Then a party. Good times! It’ll be my third party this week.

Speaking of bragging, I just finished the underglaze on 2 pig pots and the Christmas Tree. Fifteen more pieces to go… yoiks! I hope I can get them done tomorrow, but I fear this little chore will run into Sunday and I won’t be firing till Sunday night. Still, that’ll get everything to the store on Tues or Weds, so there’s that.
Meanwhile, I’m knitting a scarf for my mom - guess I’d better get to it. No more intrarwebz distractions for tonight! MWAH!!

Well, poop! Green Tomatoes decided to close yesterday and today, so no Green Tomatoes catfish filets for da bear. Anywho, we went to Rogers Catfish and BBQ, where I had catfish! Not bbq catfish cause that would be just weird. 'Twas good. In a bit Ima go down to sis’s place to help her prepare stuff for tomorrow’s feast. I peel and chop. She cooks. We drink beerverages. Works for us!
I am almost done with my lesson plans! Rather, my lesson plans are done, but I have to create a few math worksheets and then I’ll be done. Yay!!
Home from watching piddlepup.
I ate a turkey sandwich, on white bread with horseradish sauce.
Took my nighttime pills and now I am ready for bed.
A little piece of chocolate would be nice but I don’t have any, so it will have to wait until tomorrow.

Rough night - I was up and down several times with, shall we say, distress. Not sure what I ate that would cause such a reaction, but my gut seems to have settled down, and I did get some sleep, so there’s that.
**swampy **- your routine with your sis reminds me of how my dad helped my mom. I can still see him sitting at the breakfast bar with a cutting board, a knife, and a pile of veggies to be chopped… Can’t believe he’s been gone 11 years. 
**Sticky **- are you bound by a stoopit rule like my daughter’s district imposed? She’s prohibited from giving anyone a grade below 50. Period. Ever. Even if they don’t turn work in, they get 50. And just what do kids learn from that??? :rolleyes:
I’ll be rousting my sweetie from bed shortly so we can have breakfast before getting our trailer at 9-ish. I expect when we bring it home, we’ll be setting it up, just to see how that goes. Then **FCD **will probably start futzing with it, like he always does with a new toy. I bet he’s already planning how he’s going to paint the top, since it’ll come off so he can take it into his paint room. I expect it’ll be covered in skulls or something similar.
Meanwhile, it’s cold and the idiot dog just pooped in here… again… she doesn’t like going out in the cold, so when she feels the urge these days, she just squats. Idiot dog. At least it’s easy to clean up, but still. Stoopit dog.
