The pre-hijacked/tetched in the head MMP

For someone doing admin-type jobs in university-type places I’m sure it’s extremely necessary.

I have no idea how it’s done, but apparently there’s a type of construction, popular on the Spanish Med and South, which manages to keep all the heat outside except in the summer. Outside it’s a great, beautiful 22ºC and inside it’s fucking freezing BRRRRR!

Blurf. Just watched the new Walk Off The Earth video! I’ll share it in a later thread perhaps.

I have a driving lesson today, then off to work, then to a friend’s going-away party. I’m sad that my friend is moving away. :frowning: I feel really bad for his boyfriend, another old friend of mine, who’s staying here, for the time being anyway.

I guess that’s kind of a sad thing about me befriending a lot of university students - many of them tend to move away after a while. Though it’s nice to stay in touch with them.

I need to remind myself to check the cookie ingredients today.

Morning all,

Early Happy Thanksgiving to all, as today will probably be the last day I post this week.

I have a furry alarm clock (a.k.a. Orion the dork cat) that tends to go off 5-10 minutes before the actual alarm clock goes off. He requires scritching and petting and if his demands are not met/ignored, he knocks something off of the nightstand. Unfortunately he doesn’t know the difference between a work day and a weekend.

Blurf.

Woke up with a sore throat and a head full of ick. Dammit. The interview I was supposed to be having tomorrow has been rescheduled for next toosdy though, so at least I don’t have to worry about being all ill there… Though one of my housemates works at the local college, and she seems to bring home so many interesting new germs, I’ve been having a near constant cold lately.

I was planning on going and buying some more cherry shrimp today- maybe I still will, it’s hardly a taxing job.

Mooooooom, you will be happy to know that you and FCDau had minor G-rated roles in a goofy semi-lucid dream last night that was of near acid flashback proportion.

The parts you two played were people at the beach when I decided I wanted to go swimming. I happened to meet FCDau first, then you, where upon you gave me a zoology lesson on the local starfish. The rest of the dream revolved around taking an after swim shower, then finding out I was locked out of my dorm room. The only hidden symbolism in this was that I knew I was dreaming, and the lockout plot line was fueled by IRL resetting my alarm for a much later time than usual so I knew I was late for irk.

Sorry, horndawgs. :stuck_out_tongue:

gotti I’d say it does. That’s just madness! Hope y’all raised lots of money.

Well, I don’t know how we rank among other Faires doing similar events, but like I said, the weather was inhumane and probably 2/3 of our crowd scrammed after they got their free beer. Cold beer on a freezing night? :dubious: Google tells me beer can freeze at 28 degrees, so those people had to drink quick to avoid the stuff from turning solid.

I do know we utterly beat the stuffing out of another Faire on commemorative pin donations.

Meanwhile, the weather here is awful. “Wintry mix” and rain, combined with stupid drivers has made for an ugly morning rush. The TV people were saying stay home if you don’t need to go out. I heeded their advice and telecommuted, but that was met with erratic electricity. Once the power came back and seemed stable, the TV people (They’re hee-ere!)said a transformer blew a few miles from here, so that at least explained the blinkenlights while the power system self-healed after the disruption.

This is wrong on so many levels. Chips are my favorite junk fud.

Yesterday was normal irk activity, today I can tell is slowing down, I figure tomorrow will be ded. I will bring some real reading material although I do work in a liberry, so I should be able to find something here, perhaps next to Gray’s Anatomy (I irk in a medical liberry).

Stouffer’s stuffed green pepper for lunch. Nobody makes a stuffed green pepper as good as Stouffer’s.

Cool.

could you maybe be preggers?
I have a headache that could fall a horse. blurf.

Trying to get my brain booted up. 41 right now, projected high 63. Cloudy.

Doing my volunteer gig today, and it’s going to be NUTS, since I anticipate Tuesday and Thursday traffic combining today (place is closed Thursday) and either is quite heavy this time of year. I predict near-total uselessness tomorrow.

Snow today/tomorrow and I have no winter boots. Fudgemuffins.

just a fuckload of rain forcasted here. The snowline runs through Kingston NY

74 degrees Murkin here right now and rainy. More of the same for tomorrow. No Snow signs working.

Still mulling over the turkey brining (no pun intended). Apparently Mr. Anachi prefers his turkey on the dry side…but then he is an alien.

Today is my Firday. Tomorrow is filled with chores such as dog grooming, food shopping, and dessert making. Foo Foo Dog will be faaaaaaabulous for the holiday. I wonder if the groomers have some orange or yellow bows to go with her T-Day collar?

About that engine kitteh… :stuck_out_tongue:

Rosie, Flytrap: y’all gonna have 8 days of leftover turkey this year?

why should this year be any different?
Actually, no feast for me this year. :frowning:

How is this year different from all other years?

Why no feast, Rosie?

Happy Toosday!

for the third time stoopid computer

It’s a wet rainy 34 degrees outside with a projected high of 42. I’m glad its warmer today than yesterday, otherwise it would be  snow!

Today is pizza day and laundry day. I have very little laundry to do since I did so much last week. I have to walk Hellpup today and tomorrow, and I have piddlepup on Friday.
I need to cut my nails, I keep hitting the wrong keys.

WetOne I can do barbeque chips, or ruffled chips with a can of onion dip. I can do a whole bag of ruffled chips and a whole can of onion dip all by myself, in one sitting, if I am in the mood. Chocolate is my weakness.
Although when I got out of surgery? (I’m not sure if what I have is a surgery or a procedure) the first thing they gave me to eat was… potato chips. Baked ones, that made it okay.

**Rosie ** BITE YOUR TONGUE! the thought of being preggers :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:
I’d be hobbling down the aisle with a cane by the time the poor child was graduating from high school. Then again at my age, getting pregnant without any artificial help, I could have my own reality show and make some money.

Funny though because last night I dreamed I found out I had two daughters (ages 1 and 3) I didn’t remember having. I was very upset that their father gave them up to social services instead of telling me about them and I was trying to get them back. Very strange because you’d think I’d remember giving birth.

Well, time to get up and get busy.

Bah. They didn’t have cherry shrimp (well, aside from a few washed-out looking tiny ones), so I didn’t get any.

I shall have to try the shop on the other side of town- maybe tomorrow.

I have to go to Walmart at lunch because I need gifts for my niblings and another package of window insulation because the stuff I bought this weekend is crap. It’s going to be terrible in there. I’m scared.

You have my sympathies. :frowning:
