We spent a pleasant afternoon at the cee-mint with a couple friends followed by a nummilicious if’n I do say so myself early dindin. Everyone is gone and chill mode has ensued. 'Twas warm out but not humid which made it even more pleasant.

We’re actually getting odd classes compared to back when I started doing this some 35 years ago. Half the kids or better were female and almost all the adults were foreign-born. Are they now being interested in hunting or fearing the next election?

Home, tahred, not sure if I’m hongree or not. It was a nice visit with Mom and my sis, but too much driving and too much traffic. We’re all glad to be home.

SIL was having a rough day (she’s dealing with a post-lumpectomy), so I picked up some empanadas from the Mexican bakery and we just had a tea party.
I figured out tonight why my oven wasn’t heating right; the bottom coil doesn’t work. Another thing for maintenance to fix while they’re here. I had to finish the casserole off in the microwave to make sure that all of the chicken was thoroughly cooked.
Half the apples are cut up for the heathen children tomorrow. I’ll get back to the task once I get up from the computer.

I made it home around 1 pm and have been napping. My feet are swollen so I am keeping "em propped up. My little precious **Lucky Louie ** was so glad to see me he had a little fit of inverse sneezing dogs do. I just loved on him and he was ok soon enough. He has been stuck to me like glue since I have been home.

Slept in till almost 7 - WOW!!! I’ve tended to all the critters’ needs and now I’ll surf or whatever till **FCD **wakes up. We shall see what the day holds.
I was more tired than I thought yesterday - I went to bed fairly early and crashed right away. Didn’t hear my sweetie come to bed or anything. Who knew driving to Harford county and back would be so exhausting!
I need to get the mower out today, and I’d like to get some studio time. Beyond that, dunno. We shall see.

I’ve been up since 5am. Thank you Swampy for wishing me a better night, but I got only 4 hours sleep. I wish it had been better too.
I logged in at irk. When my shift is over I’m going back to bed.
I have to be up by 11 to go get groceries, but I’ll get another 2-3 hours.
I sat outside and talked with the neighbor last night, the breeze was cool, a nice evening. Looks like people are moving in across the street, and on the down side, I think they are friends with the people on the other side of me. Their parking skills are on par with the bitch next door, they all were parked outside the lines.
So today is grocery shopping day. I have to proof read a paper for Sah-son. There’s always housework to do, especially after yesterday, in which almost nothing got done.
Glad you made it home safely FCM and Butters. I know Lucky Louie must have been going nuts when he saw you.
Five more minutes and then it’s back to bed.
Sounds like Sattiday was not a good one for the MMPers. Assorted hugs and expressions of goodwill all around.
Refereed my two games, only 84F, but they were at the top of the hill, the highest point in the city (why they built the fields there, I don’t know…) so I had to climb about 100’ up the sloped walk…had less than an hour to drive 20 miles over to where my team was playing, we did very well (we won 7-1), but it was over 90F by then so even consuming six bottles of water left me fried.
And of course my beautifully pressure-washed drive got rained on last night, so I had all of 8 hours to appreciate it’s pristine condition.
Well, it is NFL season now…blurf

Blurf. I got a good nights sleep in my own bed. The swelling has gone away in my feet but now I am sore all over from the 30 or so miles I walked this week.
I have to do laundry but first I have to get my suitcase out of the car. Hubby is working as usual so I will cook up a chicken and veggies for Sunday supper. I foresee a nap today and then back to irk tomorrow where I will be very behind. I shall irk hard and try to get a day off midweek.

Puttered around the house yesterday and did see a movie. It was not great (Wild Life = little kids movie). Apparently, my IBS flare is such that I also cannot eat popcorn, which interjected a little excitement into the proceedings. I love popcorn! :mad:
Today we need to do laundry and also grocery shopping, so that the chilluns shall have lunch for the week.
I am fighting a bad migraine and am feeling just generally blue today. I also found out that I need to reschedule my medical procedures so that I am not out of town at the same time as the DH. I suspect that I shall lack productivity today. Blurf.
I threw a pot at FCD’s request, and made 8 spoon holders - 2 penguins and 6 crabs. I also made the holes in the pieces that will become a wall hanging. Lots of pieces are drying now - I’d like to be able to fire a load next week. We shall see.
We went to Red Robin for burgers, then stopped at Lowe’s for big trash bags. Exciting, huh? Mowage has been blown off. It’s cloudy - rain mayhaps??
My advice from my call-center days is to keep alcohol swabs (the kind the nurse uses to swab your arm before you get a shot or have blood drawn) in your desk and use them to clean the germs and stuff off the headset mike. This will keep you from getting the same cold over and over because you’re breathing the same bugs in over and over. I also keep those disinfectant wipes to clean off my desk.
Howdy Y’all! Today I have accomplished deheathenization, N.O.L., nappage and an open house where JDD Partner irks. It’s a dialysis clinic (he does all the accountin’ stuff) so we got to tour the clinic part, hear a retired doctor who was one of the doctors to start the clinic in the early sixties talk about how they dialysed patients then (very innerestin’!) and then had refreshments. Now we’re back inside the a/c cave and comfy.
