The Pumpkin Spice MMP

You’ve never ate at Bojangles ,then.:stuck_out_tongue:

Good God, no!

Pizza for dinner here.
1 because I am lazy
2 because my mother called and talked at me for at least an hour and I got behind in the things I needed to do.
She told me to make sure I vote and to vote for trump and to make sure Sah-son votes too. I told her I wouldn’t tell him who to vote for because he is 21 years old and can decide for himself.

Honestly, I think we could hold the elections today and the results will the same as if we wait until November because most everybody has made up their mind already and nothing either candidate can say is going to change anything.

I have the cat’s food bowl halfway down the stairs now and he is coming down to eat.

I’m starting to feel overwhelmed with having to go to the party Saturday. I don’t know why it stresses me but it does. It means planning and scheduling and getting up on time (remember to set the alarm) and allowing enough time to get ready (and hoping I don’t feel too icky when I wake up) and making sure I have clean clothes (have to make sure I do laundry), and gas in the truck (need to ride out to the gas station where I get points off on gas), and cash for the tolls (have to remember to go to the atm and* remember* my pin), and remember to get directions because I get lost every time I go to her house. Worst of all I have to be fully dressed. It’s a party, no shorts and t-shirt. Nice summer dress. Hair and makeup, my nails are a mess. Two+ hour drive each way. At least if I’m late it’ll be okay.
All things that normal people do every day of their life and I get stressed over it. I wasn’t always this way.
You get pretty damn lazy and sloppy when you irk from home and seldom have to be presentable.

I still need to get groceries and pickup my pills tomorrow since I won’t have the truck Firday.
I forgot to call about the valet service today. I do not want to spend all day Firday sitting at the repair shop.

Now I want fried chicken. The only place around here that has it is KFC. Bleah.

Daughter is thoroughly stressed and overwhelmed by new school. Boy child visited today and was unimpressed by the quality of his classmates. Mostly I think he’s also nervous about starting at a new school. He just has a hard time expressing that sometimes.

There are days when I think home schooling them both might be the way to go…

They got McD’s for dinner and I am having a pastry and an IPA. I’m sure that’s a balanced meal some how.

IMO just a slice of pumpkin pie and a cup of coffee would achieve all those goals. Different strokes, though.

Happy Birthday Midget

Finally back at the resort at 10PM. Out since 0730. My feet are killing me. 7.13 miles walked today and hot as hell. Can I say I hate Disney?

We did Animal Kingdom today and visited 4 resorts. They did give us a very nice dinner. I had 1 beer that was not included for $9.96. Once we saw fireworks at Hollywood studios I had another here at Animal Kingdom Lodge and it was $8 something. I just don’t see how the average person with a bunch of kids can afford it especially my clients who are military. We did have a VIP guide that normally costs $400-$600 an hour:eek::eek::eek: we did get to see some behind the scenes stuff too. We did not have to wait in any lines but still. Too much. Tomorrow will be a repeat.

No luck on finding my DL so I ordered a new one online. The Disney sales rep copied my CAC and sent it to TSA so I can go on the cruise ship on Friday. I don’t much care if I can’t go. I just want to go home. I will never do another one of these trainings. I will send staff from now on.

I miss my dog really bad.

TVCTPMO really should have paced itself better. Aside from the discovery that the busted sunglasses are not easily reassembleable (oh, hush, if that’s not a word it should be) and the screwed-up bus service making me late for work, it wasn’t a bad day. Even got off irk on time, and management is clamping down on the day-care kiddies. The hissy tantrums about being required to actually be at one’s desk and wearing headset, come back from lunch/breaks somewhere near on time, and keep the damn decibels down when socializing can be rather amusing to watch.

{{{Butters}}}

It will all be over soon…

I used to go to travel a lot for work - almost every week. It gets really old. People think work travel must be glamorous (you get to go to Barcelona!) but really it was long days and nights of work, time away from home, wayyyy too much time on airplanes and in airports (and cabs and trains). It might be nice to visit some of the places I went someday, but work trips suck the fun out of everything.

Mike Wazowski likes!

What color is your neck? Just askin’, no particular reason.

as long as the fork is in one hand & the beer in the other.

Are you hiring? I’ve had a poor, deprived life, I’ve never been to Disney. Got as close as the parking lot once, but that was it. :frowning:

Happy birthday, Midget! Hope it’s been a great day!

The Fellow has a truly idiotic notion that we should take the girls to Disney world. Sure, they would probably enjoy it, but not several thousand dollars worth of “enjoy.” And The Fellow can’t walk, sit, or stand for any length of time. And I hate crowds, can’t tolerate the sun, and I don’t ride the rides. (Seriously, had never been to an amusement park until I was 30. On separate occasions, the ex and I took the kids to Six Flags, Universal, Sea World, Carowinds, and Disney. In total, I rode the carousel once and the ET ride at Universal. I hated Carowinds the least, because there are trees there! And at least my ex was able to help manage the kids and ride the rides with them.) Frankly, I think this sounds like even less fun than camping!

Sahirnee, I get it. When I actually get to a rare social event, I usually enjoy it, but all of the details and the dread beforehand are awful. Hell, I’m already “pre-stressing” about 2 weddings and a casual get-together next month! (Some of the stress is because all three are during the height of election madness, and my mother will be at two events, and she has lost the filter that keeps folks from talking politics in polite company. And I think I’m the only attendee over 30 at any of these events who isn’t voting for Trump.)

I still have an awful cold. We had chicken nuggets and tater tots and salad for supper, because that was easiest. Lunch boxes are packed, Little Miss’ clothes are laid out, papers and permission slips are signed. I need to do drugs* and collapse!

*Cold medicine. Because I don’t have any whiskey.

In response to the other bear, as Colonel Potter once said, there’s not enough "o"s in smooooooooth to describe the new porcelain chompers.

Yay Gotti!

Blurf. Up before 5am. No idea why.

Gotti, may you chomp long.

flytrap, I don’t particulary care for Fried Chicken; I’ll eat it but can’t be bothered to make it.

Butters. I concur, avoid all training that you can; take only what you are mandated by your job to take (which is bad enough). All other training is a waste (IMHO. YMMV).

For all y’all rest, assorted hugs, congratulations, and “I’ve been theres” as required and needed.

Well, the new washer is bought and paid for and will be delivered on 23 September (I’ve got lots of clean clothing, so I should just make it) and two roofers will be by today (and one on Firday) to give me quotes, and while I was being so generous, I hired a service to pressure wash the sidewalks and driveway and patio for me, they be here either this afternoon or Saturday. SO after doing my bit for America, I think I can rest today (at least until soccer practice this afternoon). Still in the 90F range for the high, this is the time I do miss living in the Great Lakes area, where the temp is at least bearable during the day.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 66 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 94 and partly cloudy for the day. Cooler mornin’s, still hawt in the afternoons, but less humid. That’s how one tells Fall is comin’ to southwest Jawja. I shall defilthyfy da cave somewhat today. Other than that no big plans but that should keep me outta trouble most of the day. Plus, Ima go to the Pubic Sto’ for some comestibles.

gotti yay for the new smooooooooooooooooooooooooth teeth!

sari I understand completely. The two plus hour drive each way would make me not want to go. Just too far away.

Butters Disney does not thrill me either. I went once. That was too much.

Sunny I agree completely about irk travel. I used to do it a lot. Now I’m glad it won’t happen again. ICK!

Spidey trust me. You have not missed a thing by not ever havin’ gone to Disney. OK, I speak of Disney World but I can’t imagine the other Disney bein’ any better.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Then, I could get busy cleanin’ da cave. Or not. I can be willy-nilly like that now.

Happy Thursday Y’all!

What kind of training is it? Whenever I was sent on training, it involved long hours in a classroom listening to some contractor drone on and on about something that was supposed to be useful in my job. Rarely did I learn anything useful. Mostly I just enjoyed having a hotel room to myself and not having to clean anything.

We had rain yesterday afternoon and probably overnight, judging by the many puddles along my route this morning. Alas, we’ve come to the time of year when it’s dark from the time I get up till I’m well on my way to the office. Soon it will be dark when I get here, too. I’m looking forward to cooler weather, but not to the dark. Stoopit dark.

I’m thinking there’s something in this building that I’m allergic to. My nose gets all snuffly and yesterday, I had a major sneezing fit. And the gawd-awful plug-in “air freshener” doesn’t help. I don’t understand the need to surround one’s self with perfumed chemicals.

On the plus side, it’s Thursday! Happy Thursday!

Aw, c’mon, at least one trip you made to Jacksonville was a special treat!

Welcome to the MMP. Pull up a keyboard and get comfy.

I agree with you completely about Starbucks’ “mixed” drinks. Give me plain coffee and I’ll flavor it up my way.

btw - you’ll be given a nickname shortly, if you haven’t already. I suggest Shippy, Hims, or Runcie.
Also, blurf.

Yestidy was the first day of what looks like a Sept heat wave so at bed time I go onto the deck, flip Murphy (the air mattress) down, top 'im off with air & crawl onto bed. CRUNCH How did a leaf get between the sheet & the mattress??? Got rid of it, went to sleep & when I woked up early & turned over this morning I was staring at a belt over me…Orion’s Belt! So awesome to see that; I guess the city turns off it’s lights by 5am so the sky isn’t so light polluted.

Swampy, you’re a Whiskeypalian; doesn’t “palian” mean deliverer?

I’ll check the next time the girl is showing me my haircut.

Just wondering, is is business up front but party in the rear style?
