The Red Wings are pissing me off!

In all fairness, Chelios gets booed wherever he goes.

They’re playin game 3 right now, let’s “hope” Detriot does better.

Lets “hope” that they don’t. hehe

Has anybody else noticed how big Guigeres chest pads are? They seem huge to me. Makes me feel stupid for thinking he was a good goaltender. He’s all equipment.

Also, if I may armchair coach a bit, I think the wings reliance on Zetterberg this year is biting them in the butt. The way the series is going, it looks like they need a hard checking, high energy player who will play the body and force turnovers. They had them in Boyd Devereaux (sp?), Jason Williams, or Sean Avery. Jiri Fischer would be good too.

“Go Home Red Wings!” Clap…Clap…Clap,Clap,Clap…
“Go Home Red Wings!” Clap…Clap…Clap,Clap,Clap…
“Go Home Red Wings!” Clap…Clap…Clap,Clap,Clap…
“Go Home Red Wings!” Clap…Clap…Clap,Clap,Clap…

Down 0-3! Two teams in history has come back from 0-3…
Maple Leafs (1947) and NY Islanders (1972)…and it will REMAIN that way!

I relished the moment when the Kings took down the Wings two years ago, and I am relishing the Ducks taking down the Wings this year. Send the Wings golf clubs down to California so they don’t have to do a round trip to start their vacation…

“Let’s go golf fing!” Clap…Clap…Clap,Clap,Clap…

Growing up in the St.Louis area in the 70’s to mid 90s and being a Blues fan for most of it, I’d say our biggest rival for most of that would have been Chicago. On the other hand, we were all in the old Norris division which was noted for its rough and tumble play and heated rivalries. I was in the cheap seats at the old Arena for game 4 of the sweep of number 1 seeded Chicago in 1993 and the place went bonkers. We hate the Blackhawks, I’d say more than the Wings or the (North)Stars.
Concerning Hull, at the end of his stay in St.Louis he wasn’t liked very much by the common fan. The fans were a lot more sore when his current team mate Brenden Shanahan left. Not at him though, at the coach/GM Keenan. I’d guess he(Shanahan) still gets cheered when he plays in St. Louis. Again, not to brag, but I was at the Keel his first night back in St.Louis when he was still with the Whalers(I actually drove up from Florida just to go to this game). We won the game, but the loudest cheer of the night (and the loudest I’ve ever heard at sporting event) was when Shanahan scored(a side note, Kelly Chase, another beloved former Blue was playing for the Whale then to, him and Tony Twist got in a fight. Great fight of course. They hugged when they were done. Funny part was, Twister was renting Chase’s house at the time). Yes, we miss Shanny, but you know who we got in return? Thats right, the best defensmen in the NHL.

“Red wings” means something entirely different in the UK.

“The Red Wings are pissing me off!” Heh heh.

but I thought Nick Lidstrom played for the wings:cool:

Dammit, I was anticipating a finals with my beloved and heroic Devils against the aged and stupid Wings, just so we could embarrass CuJo some more (that’s why I’m rooting for the hated Flyers, because I enjoy watching Cechmanek choke, especially against the Devs). Once again, it comes down to who’s got the best playoff goalie, and once again, it looks like CuJo is not that man.

Secondly, anyone else amazed that the two 2OT games from last night ended within about 15 realtime seconds of each other? That was a key channel-recall button tap on my part to catch the Ottawa goal.

And, it looks like the Wild aren’t as awesome as we thought they were…

Eh, oh yeah, GO DEVILS!!!

Haven’t the fans in St. Louis forgiven Keenan yet? I mean it isn’t like he traded Shanahan for a bag of pucks and 2 broken sticks.

I think the Blues/Wings rivalry was renewed after the 96 playoffs when yzerman won game 7 on that blue line slapper on Casey…i think a large majority of Blues fans are still really bitter about that series. Also, i think the Blues have faced the Wings 3 more times in the playoffs since that series, and we’ve lost each time…which also enriches the hatred and bitterness…

So in summary…i’d be as happy as a schoolgirl if the Ducks won game 4…

The Wings are going hit the ground like a safe… just too bad it has to be at the hands of the “Mighty Ducks” (god I hate that name and the whole association of Disney with the NHL)

Kinda like the Angels taking out the A’s, huh?

GLORIOUS!

I little trip down Red Wings Memory Lane.

Devils knocked out the Bruins in a sweep of the series tonight. Who’s next, then?

devils and bruins are 3-1 in games… i think yahoo sports screwed up on their webpage

Gee, that’s funny. I was half-watching the game last night and I coulda sworn it was 5-1 Devils. Guess it was the tiny type and only half watching the game and I just assumed the Devils were in the lead. When I got back from dinner, the game was over and I figured the score must have been about the same as it was when I left. It didn’t help when a certain television channel told me the Devils made the first elimination of the playoffs.

You guys just missed my “Red Wings get swept in Round One by the Mighy Ducks” dance. It was pretty good.

Giggy for the Conn Smythe (playoff MVP)? even if he and the Ducks don’t go far. Man that’ll stick it to dumbass CuJo HAHAHA.

Damn Leafs gonna make it a seven gamer with Flyers. Oh the suspense!

Oh and where did “home-ice advantage” come from? Seems like it’s home-ice DISadvantage. Look at the Lightning and Caps. They all won on the road.

I was a Blues fan from the days of Noel Picard, Frank St. Marseille (I know I spelled his name wrong), Gary Sabourin and Glenn Hall.
As I recall, we hated, in order, the Blackhawks and the Northstars.
Nowadays, I’d say Detroit’s biggest rival is Colorado, but with Claude Lemeiux gone, that seems to have cooled a little.
The last time the Red Wings pissed me off was June, 2002.

Go Stars!!!
