The Reese's Peanut Butter Cup tease campaign

Man alive, I have been dieting so I haven’t tried any of the new ones. It will be a miracle if that doesn’t change now that I have read this thread. I am a hard core Reese’s addict.

Of the various Reese’s items, my favorites are the Easter egg, and that tree shaped one they put out at Christmas. Fredge raises an important question, WHY are the holiday Reese’s that much better than the regular ones? I think that might be a question for Cecil to consider. And believe me, I adore the regular ones. But holiday Reese’s – o be still my heart!

I eat the regular Reese’s the same way that the OP describes – first about half, and then the two remaining pieces. I used to like to eat all the chocolate first, but that was more of a skill-building thing. Yeah, when the Mad Max-esque post-nuclear holocaust days arrive, that’s going to be my skill. Fear me!

My favorite incarnation of peanut-butter cups is the Ben & Jerry’s ice cream flavor. Rapture, I tell you. I have to make a conscious effort to buy other flavors on a regular basis so I don’t get sick of my favorite and can legitimately enjoy it when I do get it.

Y’know, I’m pretty sure that’s the wrong way to eat a Reese’s.

WWHHAAAAAAT??? Dark Chocolate? White Chocolate?? BIG cup??? Honey Roasted one??? What brilliance! What absolute euphoria!! But where these delicacies of which you speak? Why are they not here in Canada? I must have them. Why are WE always the last ones to get the goods in Canada???

I feel so ripped off and even a little crabby that the Canadian-authorities-of-candy-repression (FDA?) is always SO slow to bring across all the good stuff. I mean, do you have any idea how many policies had to be bent, how many innocent lives were lost, and how many broken homes were left behind in the wake of just getting Butterfingers and Rocky Road into Canada? Well maybe none, but it still sucks.

sigh

I am now completely dissatisfied. I’m going off to eat a Snickers.

:snaps out of it:

In case you didn’t know, RPBC’s are my all time favorite candy. I loved the texture of the cruncy one’s (which They were kind enough to let accross the border), I usually eat them in two bites…speaking of bites, the other day, MrseNiGma brought home some wonderful RPBC modulation: Reese’s Bites. They resemble Malted Milk Balls, except less cuppy and more bally. I guess that would make them Reese’s Peanut Butter Balls wouldn’t it? At any rate, they taste wonderful and are a great addition to any glass of milk.

Recent technological advancement in packaging puts peanut butter ready to slap on a slice of bread or better yet a big chocolate bar. Make your own PB & Choclate treat with “PB Slices.”

New on the market and hard to find.

This is peanut butter with the most of the oil squeezed out leaving a smooth slab, similar to the indivicually wrapped cheese slices, ready to use with no sticky knives to wash. Just slap one between two slices of bread with banana slices, or tomatoe, or jelly. Jelly slices next?

Actually, at least a few of them have been spotted in Canada, at least by me. I’m in our nation’s capital (no, not Toronto … and no, not Quebec City!), and I’ve (as I said above) had both the honey roasted, and the White chocolate ones.

Get thee to a 7-Eleven! Or a Beckers, whatever.

I AM NOT ALONE

woohoo! Isabelle and fizzes eat them like I do!

slight hijack do you eat Twix bars and Butterfingers the same way?

And re the dark chocolate ones…they need to be morechocolatey

I’ve only seen the dark chocolate ones around here so far and they are good!

I like to eat RPBCs whole. Chomp!

I love Reese’s so much that I cannot buy them. That is how the downward spiral begins. One is too many, a thousand not enough.

Sometime other people have them out or give me one and it is all I can do not to grab the whole stash and run away.

There is a woman here in the office who sometimes has a bowlful of the mini ones on her desk in a candy dish. Who are these people who can work all day with a bowl of peanut butter cups in front of them?

I like the original. Pure, uncontaminated goodness.

I like Velma. She’s got her head screwed on right.

Butterfingers are too crumbly to nibble and if I eat a Twix I usually nibble off the caramel part first. I eat the outside layer of chocolate off a 3 muskateers first then I eat the creamy puffy chocolate.

I also have elaborate time consuming methods for eating snack cakes as well. Swiss Rolls take the longest.
