The opening of the Marketplace forum has inspired me to dust off some sketchbooks and revive my old CafePress store.
After doing a bit of research with the Ontario Traffic Manual, the website of Transports Québec , the US Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices, and various roadgeek sites, I turned my sketches into Illustrator drawings. I think I’ve got some signs that look like the real ones. With a few twists…

This design and more are available on T-shirts and, soon, other products. More designs are being added!

Holy crap! We can post images now? WOOT!
Here’s one of my favorite “should-be” road signs:
We could always post a link to an image, couldn’t we? It’s embedding an image in a post that we can’t do.
sunspace , LOVE the road signs!
This forum is special. The OP may embed an image in the first post, but no-one else may in other posts.
Thanks!
Morgenstern:
Make your own sign
Ah, but does it have pictures? And does it create a high-quality vector output?

Speed Trap one mile ahead.
Just added two more designs to the store.

I suppose this sign is applicable at the approach of a boat ramp.
Otherwise I’m trying to think of a road that is always wet
Cute sign though.
Would I be the first one to order a two speed bumps one with “BOOBS” as the caption?
great designs… but…
Am I the only one who doesn’t get the 120 km/h joke?
That’s because you don’t drive on the 400-series highways in Ontario. The speed on them is either zero or in excess of 120km/h. There is no in between. All signs saying 100km/h are just a suggestion.
I would like to donate money for operating the amber alert signs (when there are no amber alerts) with traffic safety tips, like;
Signal lane changes you pinhead
Slow the eff down when it is icy
Hang up and drive
Yes, there is a drug checkpoint 4 miles ahead
We confiscate your vehicle if you get 6 points
Ahh. Canadian humor. No wonder…

I have this one outside my cubicle.
Look for a shop in your area that deals with traffic control items. They may also make signs. That’s a regular size sign with my modified text, and it only cost me $45.
