Get used to it. At least until next week. Hard to believe they did so well yesterday, not just a win but they trounced the Lions, putting them back on their heels. I can’t see the Rams winning today so I expect a battle of epic proportions next week for the NFC championship between Washington and Philadelphia.
Make sure you check the signs on these lines, all the ones I’ve seen this weekend show Ravens by 1.5.
As of this moment:
ESPNBet has the Ravens -1.
DraftKings has the Ravens -1.5.
FanDuel has the Ravens -1.5.
Gotta beat two teams to advance, the Chiefs and the Zebras.
With their loss yesterday, the Texans became the first team in NFL playoffs history to outgain their opponent by 100 yards or more, record zero turnovers, and still lose.
That long Rams’ completion is why a DB has to ALWAYS play to make sure to knock the ball away first, THEN try to catch it if the WR no longer has a shot.
This narrative is so tired. There were two garbage calls favoring the Chiefs yesterday - the roughing the passer and the unsportsmanlike. Both were marginal from the ref’s perspective, pretty bad on slow mo replay.
The Texans lost a 2 possession game where they gave up EIGHT sacks, missed easy field goals, missed a PAT, and went for the worst 4th and 10 I’ve ever seen. They left Kelce open all game long, and showed zero interest in adjusting their game plan.
Yet no one mentions Mahomes getting lit up out of bounds with no flag, or the reviewed reception that was incomplete that was called complete. The Texans coaches chose to bitch and moan about some crappy calls rather than just coach their team through it.
Well said @Munch.
I am so tired of the cottage industry on social media (fed in large part by TV commentators harping on officiating incessantly rather than talking about the football being played) of bitching about officiating.
For what it’s worth, I think the screengrabs from the side of the roughing the passer penalty show Anderson’s helmet within inches if not hitting, Mahomes’ helmet. Saying the Texans because of that is silly.
I have a sinking feeling it’s going to be Ravens vs Commanders in a game nobody outside the DMV will be excited about.
I’m not sure why you think nobody will care about a SB with the Commanders in it. They are a damn fun team to watch.
They were fun to watch yesterday, certainly. If they’re in the Super Bowl, I’ll be watching. Hell, I’d watch the Super Bowl anyway, no matter who is playing.
Rather enjoying the “Snow Bowl” in Philadelphia right now. Like to see the Eagles win this one, but it’s a close game, and there’s a lot left to play.
I would be thrilled to have the Ravens in the Super Bowl.
AGREED.
Wow. What a game.
This ending is incredible.
Yeah. This is one helluvan end to one helluva game.
How did it end?!
Eagles won 28-22. Rams made it damn interesting, having the ball 3rd and 2 at the Philly 13 with just over a minute to play. But Stafford got sacked for a big loss and then threw an incompletion on 4th down.
That was a wild and crazy game.
I’m seeing Bills favored by 1½ on Vegas Insider. Am I reading that incorrectly?
