The Run to Super Bowl Licks (LIX). 2024 NFL playoffs

Yeah, he may have potential, but He’s no Tony Romo yet :smirk:

Very few color guys anymore I’ve noticed are capable of giving much in-depth analysis (of course few have historically either). I do miss John Madden.

I feel sorry for the Lions’ fans here, given how their team has seemingly totally forgotten what got them such an awesome regular season record.

Dammit. With the Packers out, I really wanted the Lions to get to the Super Bowl. I love how they built their franchise, I love Campbell’s whole schtick, and their fans are overdue for success. But the turnovers and lack of defense (did you hear they had injuries?) killed them.

Still, they’re in good shape and should be competitive next year. Congrats Commanders.

Hahahahah@a Tom Brady Dan Quinn owners comment

I was just about to post that! Every once in a while Brady breaks his corporate persona, and it’s always funny as hell

There goes my Super Bowl prediction.

Didn’t know Madden would show up in that clip. Sigh.

I think Romo is still pretty good, but not as good as he used to be.

Madden went downhill as well.

And yay Commanders!

I feel bad for the Lions fans.

But not as bad as I feel good for me and the rest of Commandos nation!

I’m bummed the Lions lost, but go Commanders!

If the Eagles or (:face_vomiting:) Rams get to the SB…

Now I’m thinking it’ll be an Eagles/Chiefs SB. I probably won’t bother to watch.

Yeah. I liked Sad Fan Cam way less than usual.

And you called it.

Madden did go downhill, but I remember when he first started doing color commentary, on instant replays he would tell you what was going to happen: which guard pulled and delivered a key block, for example. All the others doing color needed to see what the replay showed first, and only then they’d point out the obvious.

Madden saw it all when it happened, live and on the spot.

Brady is decently good enough. I’m okay with him. But he isn’t the GOAT. Joe Montana is the GOAT.

The Chiefs almost didn’t deserve to win today. Tomorrow’s Ravens @ Bills winner should produce the AFC representative in the Super Bowl. It’ll be a tall order and they’ll have to win at Arrowhead next Sunday, but the humble Texans almost did that today.

Cowboys are now the NFC team to have gone the longest without appearing in the conference title game. Not since January 1996.

I want that fact hung on a 2-foot-placque outside Jerry’s office door.

I’m with you on that, brother. I’m happy to take down the Commanders next week at the Linc!

Annnnd face off against the Chiefs or Ravens… :unamused:

Make that bet a daily double by also positing that the Raiders wouldn’t after 2002. Two of the most successful franchises in the history of the league.

I’m still flummoxed by the Commanders’ upset win over the Lions. The Lions were favored by 7½ points last night.

As of this morning, the Chiefs and Eagles are now the favorites to win the Super Bowl while the Rams have the longest shot.

Kansas City Chiefs +230
Philadelphia Eagles +260
Baltimore Ravens +450
Buffalo Bills +550
Washington Commanders +700
Los Angeles Rams +1300

As per ➜ FanDuel Sportsbook

Today, the Bills are slight favorites by 1½ points over the Ravens, and the Eagles are a heavier 6 point favorite over the Rams.

I’m expecting the Ravens-Bills game to be a good one.
