Actually, the S.S. Minnow shipwrecked in 1964 after encountering a severe storm while taking five passengers on a three hour tour. The ship set ground on the shore of this uncharted desert isle with Gilligan, the Skipper, too. The millionaire and his wife. The movie star, professor and Mary Ann and… well y’all know the rest of the story.
