But since you are going to compare the “Israeli situation” thingy with Ray and Janay Rice, do you begin to understand that Ray Rice, like Israel, has a right to defend himself against the puny and ineffective attacks of Janay Rice by punching her, rendering her unconscious, while Israel has a right to respond to ineffective rocket attacks by criminals by punishing other people entirely by killing hundreds of uninvolved civilians and destroying hundreds of civilian homes?

Normally I’m 100 percent against wife beaters. But the video shows Janay starting it, supporting her admission. Normally I’d discount such an admission, but here, its exactly as she says. So I have to say, Ray isn’t guilty of anything but defending himself.
Now I have never really seen the point in Israel oppressing the Palestinians, and always kind of understood why some of Palestinians get criminally mad in response. I wholeheartedly approve of hunting down every single member of Black September. But I’ve never understood the collective punishment and attacks against Palestinian civilians and their homes and basically spending 60 years seizing them land. Other than my opinions, I have enough Jewish heritage to apply for Israeli citizenship or have been cremated by the Nazis, but I cannot see why they cannot run their state in a way that gives everyone good government and a vote, including the undesirables they have exiled to Gaza and the West Bank. It looks like a genocidal policy to me, per the UN convention against genocide, discussion elsewhere. So I’m going to call it like I see it.
