The settlers MMP

Have you made your vaction plans for the summer yet?

I should think “Super Sized”; more snakes.

Now I’m in that period before surgery or a spinal injection that I hate most… Stop taking NSAIDs because they interfere with clotting.

Unfortunately, that means all of my assorted aches and pains are becoming PAINS! now. But, by this time on Tuesday, I should be gallbladder-free and home, or close to it.

Dindin was nummy. We et then OYKW went back to his place to deal with some irk paperirk, poor thing.

We have invitated a few folks over for fun and frolick in the cee-mint pond on Sattidy. We shall partake of boiled peanuts (green peanuts have been procured and I shall boil them in the slow cooker), cheese ‘n crackers (MOG is comin’ and apparently she has a gnawin’ and a cravin’ as she bringin’ this), and we shall grill hot dawgs. Cole slaw shall also be made. So late N.O.L./early dindin shall be slaw dawgs and chips.

So what y’all up to this weekend?

I’m thinking seriously about heading to the Lodge Sto’ in SPittsburg for a cast iron Dutch oven.

What am I up to this weekend? Probably trying to plan a vacation with my family. Though probably not to the place in Philly in Spiderman’s link, with the rubber duck. Though that might be cool.

Jesus Christ.

We’re home this weekend - **FCD **continues working on his bike. I’ll probably mess around in the garden. Unless it rains. Then, who knows?

Supper was pizza. **FCD **is off tomorrow, so with luck, we’ll sleep in some.

Tonight’s dinner will be leftover pepperoni cheese bread from last night (we let the miniature emperor cater our dinner). DH’s will presumably be leftover Hawaiian pizza, also from last night. I am very tired (my own stupid fault staying up so late last night).

Tomorrow ought to be entertaining. Lead is off, bitch assistant lead is no longer there (today was her last day!), nice assistant lead hasn’t been around much lately (sick). The two newbie assistant leads may well be a little overwhelmed, especially if supervisor isn’t in until later supe shift. We also have two “workers” scheduled tomorrow who are anywhere from useless to a net LOSS in productivity due to both being yammermouths who distract people around them and do such poor work that someone else has to basically redo (or at least double-check) anything they somehow manage to actually do.

For bonus points, if nice assistant lead isn’t in, I’ll probably be running about half the production line myself (newbie assistant leads are both needed in a more specialized position further downstream). I CAN do that, I know what needs to be done and most of the gang will treat me as a credible quasi-assistant lead. I just have the two yammermouths to contend with. One of these has been there longer than I have, and by the time I’d been in that department for two weeks, I was being asked to check HER work. The other not only annoys everyone by loud, aggressively-toned interrogations about our lives, but seems to be indulging in some passive-aggressive defiance of instructions. Tell her the correct way to do something, she’ll invent a new way that makes life twice as annoying for the next person in the chain, then just smirk smugly.

Must make sure to have chocolate on hand, or be gulping down tyrosine, in order to keep some patience.

Time to recline. MWAH!

Midget I been meaning to ask a stupid question re music. Say you have a sheet of music. Is the same sheet good for different instruments or is sheet music instrument specific?

I have no musical talent just curious.

We just had a big ole salad for supper with some store bought rotisserie chicken. It was good and will get us by until the next one.

I is tahred. Gonna find some Ben and call it a day. Have a good night all.

We had pizza for supper too.

Sheet music is usually written for a specific instrument. In a piece of music with multiple instruments, each instrument will have their own sheet music for it.

Though sometimes you’ll see sheet music versions of folk tunes, which are just a tune written down, and can be played by any instrument with the right range (that can play high and low enough to fit all the notes.)

The check readers decided it was “Eat Old People’s Check Day” :smack: Making Carabean style Bachelor Food for dinner. Almost the weekend.

Preach it, Sista!

Been there, doen that, met Ruble.

Spending Friday and Saturday nights standing in the kitchen, screaming and beating my head against the counter.

Midget, thanks. I (re)learned something about music.

If I’m just buying and that’s the only logical choice, I can stand either one. But if I’m shopping (unsure what I want) I still prefer the more mom&pop specialty store.

I had forgotten you were one of us. And people wonder why I make my own hooch.

What I really miss are the old normal K-marts and Zayre’s <sic?> stores. The goods weren’t much really but damn did that crap last forever!

The Old We--------- Wiener dog my neighbor used to have?

Congratulations Plant – you just said the secret word!

(Sorry – Groucho flashback. But I’m much better now.

(Goes back to a story he used to tell about two priests and a cigar)

Ball game tomorrow night, with the new gal. Iffn she remains the new gal, either Beer Week &/or Roller Derby Sat eve. Bike rides both mornings, but sadly, the weather doesn’t look good to get high, though I still need to work on the video from last weekend’s flights. In other words, a quiet wickend for me.

Was settled in for the evening net surfing when the call went out for a floater in Annapolis harbor - 3 blocks away.

So I headed over and got video of the recovery. Sounds like a missing person from earlier this week is no longer missing. Unknown if foul play…

Off to a couple amusement parks for a couple events. We are going to get a lights-on chance to walk a couple of the haunts/dark-rides so I’m pretty jazzed about it. One park is great and growing (Waldameer) and one is dieing a slow and lingering death (Conneaut).

Up, caffeinated, off to work. It’s Firday.
