Sometime this afternoon, the Autumnal Equinox will be upon us. I love Autumn. The colors, the aromas, the little nip in the air. Plus, I’m an Autumn baby; although my birthday usually falls on one or the other Jewish High Holy Days - this year it’s between the two.
But I’d have cake anyway, because cake.
Okay - I’m off to sleep for a few hours. Have at it.

I love autumn as well. Being in the Keys we do not have any appreciable temp change to speak of though.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 65 Amurrkin out with a predicted high of 87, and, accordin’ to the weather PTB we shall have rain/tstorms/apocalypse this afternoon and evenin’. We shall see. They ain’t been real good with the predictions as of late.
Fall is a pretty ok season for me except for ragweed which has already started to happen. Fall and Spring are nice, but they are also my two worst allergy seasons.
Ok that’s all I got for now. I need more caffiene and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Then I must purtify for irk even though I am irkin’ from da cave today due to the layin’ of carpet which is allegedly happenin’ at the orifice. I shall venture out to a few of the local places today to complete some monitorin’ stuff, which will take a couple of hours. Thus the need to be presentable.

Oh no, Cute one, on this topic you are wrong, wrong, wrong! Fall is, by far, the worst of the 4 seasons. It gets dark earlier, & cold, & leaves falling*, all of which means less time outdoors. I don’t mind hot, I don’t mind cold, but I can’t stand the 30° temp swings. Yeah, we get them is Spring too, but at least they come with the promise of warmer, & longer days ahead.
Upstate NY is not 100% green trees anymore & my one buddy who went further North into VT on Fri said it’s about 2 weeks from peek color up there.
Drive-by greetings, before someone else can stick another needle in my ass. I wanna go home, dammit!

It’s cool outside, 62 degrees with a high of 71 predicted.
I am sitting here waiting, waiting, waiting to hear if settlement is today or not. If so I have to leave around 9:30, if not I’m going back to bed.
I didn’t sleep well last night. Sah-dog is not well again, I think it may be allergies. He paces and pants and yesterday, for the first time since he was a puppy, peed in the house. I missed a dose of benadryl so he woke up scratching. Now he has settled down again.

I like Autum because it means hockey. I’m gonna do laundry before work today.
So settlement is NOT happening today because of the second fucking bullshit sister disputing the disbursement of the funds. HER lawyer hasn’t gotten back to the title company yet.
However I am getting the keys and can move in tomorrow and will be paying $1/month for rent until settlement.
I could go out today however OAOASO can’t help today, so I would have to go out again tomorrow to meet him so he can change the locks and help me move some stuff, and then I have to be there Wednesday morning for the cable guy. Considering that it’s a 2 hour drive each way and over half a tank of gas, may as well skip today.
This is so stupid, I am paying $90,000. By the time you deduct the cost of a new kitchen, two new bathrooms, new roof, new windows, painting inside and out, refinishing the hardwood floors, new carpeting in some areas, all the other upgrades and repairs I doubt they are making much more than $65,000. Divide that by 4 sisters and what is there to fight over???!!!
I hope for their sake the two bitch sisters are NOT at the settlement table. I’d hold my tongue until everything was signed and then those two selfish petty little bitches would get a piece of my mind and that piece is not too pretty.

Spring is my favorite time of year, autumn runs second, summer third and winter comes in last.
I hate snow, shoveling snow, driving in snow, slip sliding in snow and ice and cold.
Sari I’d be oh so more demandin’ than you. I would be more like for everyday we go past the original settlement date, one hundred dollars gets knocked off the price. Then again the dollar a month thing ain’t too bad. Oh and I’d mean calendar days. That would get the HFH sisters off their butts and out of their snits, I’d bet.
So, irkin’ from home. I did the weekly conference call with TPTB already. In a bit I shall take off for a couple hours. I have a smoked <snerk> butt <snerk> in the crock pot. BBQ sammiches, fries and coleslaw for dindin tonight. YUM!
Also working from home. Quiet day, a bit of a nip in the air this morning, but it’s nice and sunny. I love autumn!

I have to settle by Oct 1st, otherwise my rate is no longer locked in. Of course if rates go down I guess that could be to my benefit, but if they go up I could be in trouble.
I wonder if I can order my furniture now? I have $x in the bank which is more than I need for closing but I wonder if I spend any of that money if it will affect my qualifying for the mortgage?
Guess I need to call the mortgage company later to see if it’s okay to spend part of it.
Otherwise I will be living in an empty house.
Sari - I still say you should have a lawyer on your side. It really sounds like the Bitchters ought to be compensating you financially

I went to the local Tim Horton’s this morning (Timmy Ho’s, or Timmy’s, it’s often called here) and had some bad-tasting coffee that tasted like gasoline, and I accidentally spilled some on my book! I think my book’s okay though. Next time I might go to the other local coffee shop, which I think I like better anyway.
Must work on music and crafts and such.

Sari, do NOT spend large amounts of money before closing, because it CAN affect your qualification. This happens more often than people realize.
I don’t know what to tell you about the constant moving of the settlement date. However, if it was me, I’d be contacting a lawyer or something to make sure I don’t screwed. If your interest rates DO go up, you are essentially paying MORE than you agreed to pay. Just sayin’…
Well, I’m here at work with ridiculous suspenses and constant bad news. I must return to my chores.

Morning all! I’m on a conference call but only vaguely listening. It is only tangentially relevant to my interests. I had a great weekend! Did nothing but play assassins creed and sleep. I really needed an empty weekend.
How is everyone today?
Someone just showed me their grandbaby’s ultrasound VIDEO. Omfg, I totally don’t want to see that! I just don’t get it.
I took a little nap and fortunately the benadryl caught up with the dog and he has been sleeping soundly as well.
The mortgage company called me just as I was falling asleep and the owner gave me the name and number of a lawyer.
I also got the good news that my closing costs are going to be less than I thought from the GFE. I looked all over the GFE and didn’t see where the rest of the down payment was included so I was adding that balance to the GFE.
As long as I don’t open any new credit accounts I can spend some of the money.
I’m not planning on going wild so I should be okay.
I’m in a much better mood now.
