I’m wondering if I should drive somewhere. Curiously, I realize that I usually only use my car on Sundays.
I forgot to turn my 'puter off last night! OH NOES!!!
We were up and out early because **FCD **wanted to get something at Lowe’s. Except Lowe’s doesn’t open till 8 on Sunday. But we gassed up the car and had breakfast and he got what he wanted at the hardware store in Leonardtown (which also opens at 8, which is what time it was by the time we got there.)
I’m going to clean the rest of the living room carpet today, then hem another 10 tea towels for the store. Apparently the red crabs with the black-eyed susans are very popular. So that’s the plan. Beyond that, we’ll just wing it.

The living room carpet is clean. I’ve had a break. Guess I need to get working on those tea towels. I promised to deliver some to Deb this week.
I made fried rice for breakfast. Gordie has had his mid morning walk, now time to clean the kitchen.
It did feel weird typing that.
Phase one of tea towels is done. I’ve ironed them all and creased them down the center. Next I need to cut them in half and press up a hem on the raw edge. Then I sew.
I just did some mental math. In reality, I get about $2.50 profit per towel. That translates to about $3.50/hr, assuming I do them in batches of 10, which I usually do. If I wanted to pay myself minimum wage (which goes up to $8.25 in MD on July 1) I’d have to charge $18 per towel. That would cover the materials and the store’s share as well as my time. No one would pay $18 for these - at least I can’t imagine anyone who would. So I’ll just keep them at $8 each and whine about it. 
And on that note, I think I’ll have some lunch.
Working on waking up for deheathenization. DH will be skipping that today, since he has the bug I had last week, and is currently trying to cough up a lung. Just as well that the start on his job got delayed two weeks, it turns out.
Plans for the rest of my day, once I get home? Vague at best, probably not much productivity planned.

Chore day today. I’m abouthalf through. Still have laundry to do and fixing food for the lunch rotation and this week’s breakfasts. I think it’s time for an afternoon in the studio.
Howdy Y’all! We deheathenated and had <snerk> Quickie <snerk> for N.O.L. I carry on about the place but for real the food is good. Not fancy just goooooooood! I had the pot roast with little N.O.T. and carrots, fried okra (the pod of God!) and cornbread. OYKW got the liver 'n onions. I have also had a little nappy poo. Life is good.
flytrap as long as people move out of last place so I can keep it for my very own, it’s all good.
I’ve got 10 towels ready to be stitched up. I’ll run the hems tomorrow and do the stenciling. I should be able to deliver them on Weds.
Just got back from a quick run to Food Lion. **FCD **is sleeping in front of a baseball game on TV, Higgs is chewing up what’s left of her rubber pig, and Taz is crashed on the back of the recliner which is temporarily behind me. It’ll go back in the living room in a little while.
I think, apart from putting the furniture back, it’ll be a lazy afternoon.
Home from irk. Very irksome today. Very tired. I watered the herb garden so that means that it’s going to rain now.
‘Tis rainin’ biiiiiiiiiiiig time! YAY! We need the rain. Looks like a band of red and yellow stuff nearby so we could have the tstorm/apocalypse part of it in a while. OYKW is at his place and says it’s pourin’ there as well. I wish it would keep up all night. I lurves me some rainy sleepy time!

This was the first weekend in four I’ve been home, Fri night I was in bed for all of three hours, & last night I never made it there at all, instead [del]passing out[/del] falling asleep on the sofa watching the hockey game. I did wake up about 3:30, turned off the TV, & rolled over until sunrise.
Saves power (OK, maybe just pennies, but still) and I don’t have to worry about vulnerabilities. Nor do I have to worry about Taz looking at Kitty Porn all night! :eek:
And the computer guys I used to work with said computers need to be turned off periodically. Maybe they were lying, but it doesn’t hurt to turn them off, so I do. Unless I forget, which I do occasionally.

OK, I just googled turn off vs. leave on - the expert consulted recommended putting your computer in the sleep mode when you’re done for the day if you’re inclined to leave it on. He did say turning in on and off multiple times a day is bad for it - I need to tell my mother that - she not only turns it off every time she’s done, but she turns off the power strip that everything is plugged into, including the modem. I think that’s extreme, but she thinks she’s saving money.
