That’s the Bro or Mansierre.
Howdy from da cave! I survived the marathon trip to the south forty. YAY! As soon as OYKW gets here we shall dine. I have already told him da bear deserves a biiiiiig margarita.
Given the origins of the term, I am surprised. ![]()
NERD!
>>sniff<< A Scholar, Madame. >>sniff<<
Mexican comestibles have been consumed. Perhaps shortly they shall become Mexican combustibles.
The biiiiiiiiiiiiiiig margarita was good. OYKW is about to have a soak in the tub. All is well. Oh and it’s rainin’.
I’ve always thought of flytrap as more of a dweeb.
We have a few Baptists in Tennessee too, but they’re a little more progressive; they’ll wave to you at the liquor store. ![]()
Things have changed drastically since I was there. Mama Plant was from Finley, near Dyersburg, almost in Missouri.
Episcopalians will greet each other in the liquor sto’ and then go home and talk about that rotgut they saw ol’ so and so buyin’.
'Tis a rainy and lazy eve here at da cave. We shall go lie upon the bed, watch teevee, and stuff until it’s sleepy time.
Nitey Nite Y’all!
There was a thunderstorm predicted for today, but it never happened. YAY! I hate thunderstorms!
So I got a lot of work done today on the music arrangement.

Dentist first thing this morning, to refill a tooth to fix a packing problem. Still numb. Otherwise all is well.

Next time, you might try a bigger suitcase to handle a packing problem.

What paradise do you live in that Tar-jay sells beer?
:dubious:
Not sure if it’s paradise, but Target has beer and wine here. Not sure if they also sell spirits, but the grocery store has that covered.
… the only thing it assigns me to is a job called water-spider. But that is another gripe.
What a complete and unredeemable cluster-you-know-what! Who had the bright idea to change the names of the lines?
The bigger question is why is a “materials handler” also called a “water spider”?
We had a big thunderboomer/soaker, but it didn’t do much for cooling things down.
I bought some french vanilla ice cream to have later with strawberries. Yum!!!
I think I’ll recline the night away. MWAH!
Don’t run too fast.
:dubious:
Home from work. Final count was
7 quit
12 decided to have summer colds
That is out of 128 people.
You know, the way this place runs through folks, should I decide to reapply in August I’m betting I can find a vacancy.
Stopped by the Boards to post in the thread about Herbs.
May she rest in peace.
Figured I needed to at least drive by to say hi. What’s new with everyone? I keep up with some of you on FB, somewhat, but I know I’ve missed a lot.
Haven’t been around due to life - having nephew here makes things quite crazy. There’s always a “what’s for dinner” or some meeting to go to. (Yes, I know this is not a news flash to those of you who are parents, but I never figured I’d get the honer.)
It’s lots of fun, but sure does take more time-management skills than I possess.
In any case, I’ve skimmed, but retained little to nothing. Did notice that Spaz has changed screen names.
Job sounds quite awful, ruble. Good think it’s a short-term gig.
Hope to be back a bit at least during summer.
Hugs alll.

So, are you ready for my Amazon rant? (My apologies to Ruble)
I ordered a large sticker from Amazon it was $12.62. I paid with the ‘one-click’ payment using my bank account. The sticker arrives and all is well until 13 days later when I receive a collections letter in the mail. I had recently switched banks and had forgotten to change my payment information for Amazon. The payment had gone through and then bounced back because the account was closed.
Obviously I made a mistake. I have no problem with paying what I owe. What I have a HUGE problem with is not even trying to contact me any way at all and immediately sending me to collections on a bill that is less than two weeks old. And while we’re on top of it, let’s tack on a $25 processing fee!
I called customer service and talked to a very nice person who could not help me at all and referred me directly to the collections agency. He also agreed with me that it was odd that no one had tried to tell me what happened before sending me to collections. I didn’t have time to pursue it further at that point so I hung up. Later on I did an online chat and got the same spiel from her. Lame.
I gave up and paid the bill online today. I see no way that I could win and obviously they don’t care, nor do they need to care because they’re so big, but still I thought it was a poor way to run a business.
Why do you always take two Baptists fishing with you?
If your label says “PIT5” across the bottom, please please PM me and mail it to me. Or better yet take a good picture and e-mail it to my e-mail. Will provide on request. I am curious if its one of the transitional labels.
Two people who always have trouble finding friends to fish with are notaries and preachers. Both can sit back and say in the middle of the story you’re telling at the diner “Just how big did you say that fish was?” ![]()
Hawks win, force Game 7 on Saturday.![]()
Sounds like Gordie. That’s why his nicknmae is “Princess Pretty Paws”
Everywhere they have electricity and running water.
GT! : tacklehug :
Ruble, sounds like things are completley FUBAR there.
, bummer. Very weird it went striaght to Collections, though.
