I have a question about last night’s episode of The Shield.
(Since I’ve added “Spoilers” to the title, I won’t use the Spoiler tag here b/c then I’d have to preview which usually times out on me).
What is UP with Vick and that crack whore? Is that baby really his? My wife thinks that he was telling the truth when he said it wasn’t his to his wife, but I think it is, b/c <a> he acted a little shifty at the end of that scene, and <b> I’m on permanent “expect anything” mode with this show.
I don’t recall Vic ever saying “It’s not mine” to his wife. She asked him point-blank if it was, as I recall, and that’s when he launched into the story about how he met the woman and finding her trying to abort the baby. This won his wife’s sympathy for the baby, but in no way did it answer her question.
My roommate speculated in the past that Connie might be his sister, and that’s why he tried to take care of her, but that can’t be right because her mother was shown. I think the baby has to be his.
Only 5 views? Doesn’t anybody watch this show? (Although they just cancelled my 2nd favorite show - The Job, so maybe nobody does watch tihs show).
I thought I heards him say that the baby wasn’t his - something about “six months ago I pulled her out of a gang fight and she was pregnant blah blah” - it seems to me that the wife would see through him if he weaseled out of admitting that it was his. Oh well - I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
He did imply that when he first met her, she was 6mo pregnant. I wonder if he lied about it, since he certainly could have, and am also wondering if Aceveda lied about the rape allegation. There really are very few unsullied characters in this show, just about everybody has one skeleton or another in their closet.
I did like how Dutch finally got his man, and some respect from the other cops, but it’s a shame he had to take such an emotional beating to get there.
No, no, no. She wasn’t pregnant when he first met her. When he first met her, he pulled her out of the gang beating. He gave her his number in case she ever needed anything. The next time he saw her was when she called him, and he found her six months pregnant. He didn’t specify how much time was between their two meetings.
