I concur with RikWriter. Vic and Danni again, but you know when Vic finds out about Dutch and his ex, he’s going to explode. Given that TV shows like to introduce new characters like Armey and Det. Billings to kill them off, is Billings on the hit list? Or is he a red herring?
Shane, “It’s nothing we haven’t done before.” Maybe, but Vic played the game a lot better.
Very good call on the leak prediction. That would solve a lot of problems for Shane and Vic who look to be on the road to a renewed relationship at this point. These guys are like brothers, and brothers can forgive just about anything.
The new tension will be between Vic and Lem, when Vic tells him that he is going to help Shane (if he does tell Ronny and Lem).
I sincerely hope that Mr. Mitchell gets to stick around for at least the entire season. His character is fantastic, and I would hate to see him go.
The more I think about the Aceveda situation, the more perplexed I become. I really can’t imagine The Shield without his presence at this point. If he goes, I think the show will suffer greatly, especially if the conveniently push Glenn Close into his current role and add another captain.
I don’t know how he is going to keep his hooker affair covered up, but he has shown that he is one sick, manipulative, power hungry bastard. He won’t let the affair ruin his political career, even if it means begging Vic Mackey for help at some point in time. Captain Aceveda has to be one of the best characters ever portrayed on television. Period.
The Julian story line is tired already, and doesn’t seem to have any future. I wish they would pursue some of his old character flaws again, as I have a hard time believing he has no homosexual desires left in his body.
Thinking about the show in totality has made me realize that Ronny is the only character that we really don’t know too much about. He’s been there all along, but only in the background. I wan’t to know his point of view on all this stuff.
Well, there’s some stuff to chew on. Masticate now, and think about it later.
I have edited the thread title to indicate that there are unboxed spoilers.
Please, gang, remember that there are folks out there who will not see this for a while, for a variety of reasons, and who don’t want the surprises ruined. See Cafe Society Forum Rules, it’s number 2.
McClane takes too much time with smartass remarks. He’d be dead before he finished his first sentence.
At range, I’d give it to Jack. Up close, Vic is just as dirty, mean and tough (remember when he got shot in the stomach), plus he’s got a weight advantage. Lastly, if outdoors on a sunny day, his chrome dome will temporarily blind Jack.
I love this show so much. It was great having absolutely no clue how the last scene would play out. I don’t see how Vic can avoid eventually killing Shane for everybody’s safety, but you never know. Shane’s a complete dick and yet I really felt for him and how desperate his situation has become. Maybe there’s redemption for him yet.
Fantastic acting work by Mackey in that last scene. From anger to accepting that he’s going to help him to “goddamnit how are we going to get out of this”
