Well, looks like Shane is back in with Vic, with both playing against each other–should make for some interesting tv.
So Aceveda has hooked up with LA’s newest hooker. With his propensity for violent sexual activity, I don’t see this working out very well.
It’s been odd that Julian hasn’t really had any story lines since season 2. He was a very compelling character with a lot of issues, and ever since he gave up his homosexual lifestyle and got married, we haven’t really heard anything else from him. Hopefully he’ll make a comeback soon.
God, I love this show. It is by far the best on TV.
I normally wouldn’t consider this as a possibility, but this show has proven they are willing to push the limits of what is shown on regular cable television. Maybe Tevon shows up and learns the truth about what happened when Shane’s wife nailed him in the head with the iron, and decides to pay her a visit?
Based on the previews, Shane’s in a bad bad situation. I wonder if he actually comes crawling to Vic admitting what he did and asking him for help. I mean, how many times can Antwoine (sp?) be tipped off before more than just Vic and his team will know there’s a mole. Shane can’t continue to provide Antwoine with what he needs.
And clearly he fails in his first attempt anyway.
On the flip side, Antwoine can’t take Shane out - bring way too much heat on his neighborhood to have a cop killed there.
Regardless of what Shane does tho’, no way can Vic trust him, not ever again. Vic’s gonna have to figure out a way to get rid of him.
No way they get rid of Shane. He’s one of the best characters on the show. My guess is that he will be forced to call on Vic to redeem him in such a way as to get back in everyone’s good graces and play ball. I’m thinking along the lines of the Senator with the dead hooker in Godfather II.
Side note: Am I the only one who head-bangs and screams along during the 15 second opening theme?
Well, ultimately this is an ensemble show, so somehow it all has to tie back in to the characters we know. At least that’s what I think. I don’t think they’ll start to introduce a new set of city councilmen storylines, where he gets in trouble with new characters.
A couple options:
He finds relief at first, but within a couple episodes has a really really violent time with her, maybe either killing her or at least having to consider that option. He does have all kinds of contacts, maybe he decides he needs to put out a hit on her before she tells police (maybe she has to go to hospital, but blames it on a fall or something so she doesn’t have to tell docs what her lifestyle is, get police involved - hell, she’d probably shy away from that, knowing he’s a cop).
Related, maybe she’s a blackmailer, has a hidden camera or something. Or has a pimp who puts her up to it once he discovers who Aceveda is.
And maybe, just maybe, Aceveda goes to one of the ex-strike team members for this service. Shane? (Definitely not Vic). Anyway, whatever happens it’ll probably lead back to the precinct. Or else just lots of him going even crazier, slowly but surely, but alone for the most part. Hell, maybe his wife gets suspicious and talks to someone at precinct.
I’m assuming that she is going to blackmail him. The way she made him proposition her and the look she had just made me think that she has a recording device somewhere in that apartment.
I really love this show, and this was a great episode. Lots of set-ups for future action, too. It’s pretty clear that Aceveda’s phone pictures are going to come back to haunt him. Didn’t Vic end up with that phone last season?
John, you might be thinking of a tape (from the interrogation room) of Aceveda beating the hell out of some suspect (I forget who). Vic went in and took the tape from the VCR room, and at the end of the episode, he gave it to Aceveda. Of course, every single person who watches this show knows that Vic made a copy, even if there were absolutely no hints to that effect.
