WTF? You know, when this idea was presented as a joke in another thread, it was funny. But here it’s not cool at all. SILENT-BOB has been around for longer than I have, and has endeared himself to everyone (myself included). Now, when he’s had this happen you come along and call him a troll, or my sock puppet?!?
It should suffice to say you’re mistaken, it’s coincidental, this isn’t the place for accusations, and that I echo UncleBeer’s sentiments.
I like Silent_Bob. I don’t think he’s trollish at all. For a guy who never says anything, he sure can convey more meaning and feeling in his posts than a lot of the true trolls who somehow find their way here.
And Bob doesn’t say mean things to people when sad news is posted about them.
Bob, I’m sorry for your loss, and I hope that the time away helps you grieve long enough to start remembering all the wonderful things that you loved about the person who isn’t here anymore, but since YOU are, they continue to live on through your memories.

There do have to be a lot of people who find him dull-witted and stupid, but aren’t up to mentioning it because they don’t want to see more putz cartoons.
Can you guess why? No, because you’re in his fan club. You can’t see that everytime he says putz half the readers think “only a putz says putz”. Look up at the people who have used it here and you’ll see it’s true.
It also seems we have our most annoying posters declaring they are gone, like they have no clue that other people take time off for a million reasons. That’s because they are so full of themselves they can’t see there are thousand of posters, thousands of which are gone in any given week.
It’s time for silent to grow up.
Actually, there was a troll that took Silent Bob’s name back when there was that glitch in the software that allowed it. IIRC, because of the real SB’s low post count, the fake was able to blur the difference between the two rather quickly.
I do agree that the real SB is NOT a troll, he is loads of fun and, so far, true to form. You have to admire his ability to communicate only in smilies yet resist the temptation to expound. He’s a model of self-control and I don’t care if he’s a sockpuppet, I dig him.
I am sorry for his loss and I hope he returns soon.

I personally find the silent joke ok, but to say all it’s detractors are anti-SB makes no sense.
