Please check my post count. I’m a newbie, ok? I just think that it is especially cruel that others should flock to a bereavment with trolling acusations. It seems rather churlish, I’d say. I think consolation and not accusation would be in line.
Forgive me if I’m wrong,
Chris
PS: Dear Bob,
Used another (fourth ever) smilie yesterday (you know I’m not a big fan of them). Couldn’t help but think of you when I posted it. Please trust me, the joke about two guys pissing on a piece of art that was originally designed to be pissed on, needed a smilie. I know that you’ll understand.
You and only a few others came to my side when I used my first smilie. Your (simultaneously disavowed) email helped me to make it through. Ever since, I have carried on the grand tradition of “Bwah ha ha ha ha ha” as recommended.
This is the only way that I have been able to cope.
Chris, you truly are to be commended. You have to have a superior command of smilies to have come up with this message. To a neophyte such as I, one smilie is pretty much like another.
About three weeks ago, I posted a thread about the death of the great cartoonist Carl Barks.
First person to respond was SILENT-BOB. His response:
Obviously, he shared my feelings of sorrow and grief about the passing of a beloved artist. That is NOT the actions of a troll. A troll would have laughed at me for grieving over someone, anyone. (Remorse is a sign of weakness, y’know. ) A troll would have made a :wally
Get off the guy’s back, you skunk felchers.
Come back when you’re ready, BOB. We’ll keep the light on for ya.
Oh, SB - my condolences on your loss. You and your family are in my thoughts. I hope you can come back soon - a lot of us thoroughly enjoy your posts. (And thank yu, ChrisCTP for letting us know.)
I hope the clouds are starting to part in your skies, Bob. Please post a smilie on this thread to let us all know that you’re back. We’ll keep our thread spotters tuned to maximum sensitivity while we wait for you to return.
