Crunching the numbers, as long as you have people click on the corn, it’s ridiculously profitable compared to moonshine. If you leave the corn up and just get one extra tap for the seven days, that leaves you with a profit of $351,000. If you made moonshine and then left it up for 24 hours every time to get taps, over a 90 day period you would need 13 taps every single time in order to beat that.
How do you dump a friend? I have a number of friends that i picked up from websites, and they have never visited me.
Dopers have been fantastic at visiting and tapping on the things that are important to tap.
I’d like to replace some people. But I can’t figure out how to remove a friend. Can anyone help?

Looks like I’m going to give corn a chance. I have never hit the dog track for the big money, and I really need a bunch of cash. I am amazed that some people have had untold millions to buy the popsicle skyscraper or the staircase to nowhere, etc. i literally live day to day and i’ve never had that kind of cash. It killed me to spend close to 200k on the spinster apts, but i figure if I get both patty and selma, i will be able to put both of them on quests for money. I see no financial benefit for buying the knowledge-arium or the supermarket, so I don’t feel compelled to buy them just yet. But if I had the money, I would buy them both.
Dead crops can also be revived with a tap. As long as you don’t accidentally collect the last handshake, you should be able to make millions in cash and XP.
I have started my corn crop. I have no witch marge, so it should take the 90 days.
That’s fine, since I haven’t had too many people visiting me and tapping on my crops anyway (where the hell are all you?! I’ve been tapping all of your damn squidport tiles!)
Anyway, all i have is the channel 6 icon for folks to tap, and it’s right when you come into my town. So I expect to see a bunch of handshakes each day… “No tappy? No laundry!”
As for corn, how long does it stay alive before wilting and dying? A day? Week? Month?
I think it would suck if it was only a day. A month would be nice, but I can’t see EA letting it go that long. Anyone know for sure?
Only 89 days and change for corn. I can almost see what i’m going to spend the money on!
If, however, right before or right after the corn is due i get an update or a glitch like the last one, that flushed my handshakes on my tiles, channel 6, and crops, it could get ugly in the EA offices.

I’m still 60 days away from my corn. Stupid lousy crops. This is worse than the time all the milk went sour for some reason.

Corn is alive for a week, but if it’s still stackable, it’ll last as long as it’s being tapped. One of my friends has corn and she’s gotten millions of dollars and loads of xp.
I figure if there is a stackable patch, I can always cancel the corn. (Same if a new update requires a task there.) But most likely I’ll just leave it anyway in case the patch got unpatched.
I’ve got to crunch some numbers, or at least think deep about the math involved in the game. If I used my donuts to buy a premium character and/or building, would that be a better choice in terms of generating XP or are bonus-boosting decorations that work on everything as a multiplier a better way to earn xp?
Should I house farm not for cash, but for xp? That way I can earn more donuts so I can buy more premium stuff so I can earn more donuts faster? Decisions, decisions.
I’m still short of having enough donuts for the open air stage, which would be great to have right now with stacking handshakes. On the other hand, I don’t have Mel, Hans Moleman, or Barney, so half the tasks would be unavailable.
Arnie Pye is the best premium character buy for stacking handshakes. His program on Channel 6 is ridiculously profitable.
As awesome as that might be, I hate hate hate hate hate the animation. I don’t know if I could do it. Well, I supposed if I let him loose for a day or two I wasn’t around… It looks like the Bumblebee Man has the same payout and costs only 60 donuts. And he’s not buzzing around springfield annoying me. Well, he is buzzing, but not in a helicopter, getting in my way of taps. 
I have a question regarding the stacking handshakes.
It seems that My channel 6 is only permitting one extra handshake at a time. So, i never see more than two piled up there ant any one time. I tap on one, and leave the other and when I come back there is almost always a new one, but never a pile of three or more, like the handshakes on my tiles used to build up.
Is that unusual, or does everyone see the same behavior with channel 6?
I wonder how many taps I don’t get credit for if someone taps it before I get there to clear out the first one? I have never seen a group of 3 handshakes since I started the channel six tasks.
Very odd.
ETA- i guess the other option is that people aren’t tapping my channel 6 when they come into my town, but it should be right on your screen the moment you come into my town. If this isn’t the case, let me know. But there is no reason not to tap it, as it dishes out the same amount of cast that a house or anything else does.

Have you noticed the problem I explained a couple of posts up? (I.e. Only having two handshakes only on my channel 6).
Or have you seen 3 or more handshakes on your corn?
I wonder if this is something they have changed to keep people from collecting an unlimited pile of handshakes.
I have seen folks in my town who have obviously hit three things, but I have only seen two. I assume they hit my channel 6 and maybe it didn’t register? I don’t know. Maybe people have come into my town and not hit channel 6… That’s always a possibility. But ever since the last update, i have never seen more than two handshakes at a time.
I’ve only seen 2 on my corn and 2 on my tv station. But the corn has only been there a couple of days and I keep collecting the channel 6 by mistake.
Well, if you wouldn’t mind, keep an eye on it.
You may have people hitting your corn, but the game isn’t registering it unless you clear off one handshake, and leave that one handshake floating. That way, you can get one more handshake to collect your money, but unless you go right in and clear it, you won’t see another handshake.
I hope I’m wrong, but i have not seen more than two handshakes for quite a while. I’m not going to log into the game until late tonight, since everyone is on a 24-hour quest, so if there is any time I should have more than two, it will be tonight.

I tried visiting your town yesterday and my game immediately crashed. I’ll try again today.

In non-event times I’m really bad about visitations.
I’m updating the list in order to take my four towns off of it. I’ve also unfriended everyone. I realized today that I have become incredibly unproductive since I got my tablet. I spend about 3-4 hours every day mindlessly playing Tapped Out and other games instead of working on my writing and some other projects. I want to get that time back, so I’m getting rid of all the games and anything relating to them, which means getting rid of the Tapped Out friends.
Stink Fish Pot - you can get rid of friends by using - Origin for PC or Mac - Origin for macOS - Electronic Arts. You can also find friends that way. You can look at who your friends have as friends and make friend requests. It’s not like Facebook, where you really need to know someone. I’m pretty sure several people found me that way and I did it to find some too.
