If it’s the case that some of the better prizes unlock after you’ve collected a certain number of eggs, then doesn’t it make sense to start buying boxes only right at the end of the event?
I still haven’t gotten a basket either. No biggie.
Not only don’t I care if I get all the prizes, but this update may have been designed in a way that you pick and choose just which set of prizes you end up with, and unless you are the type to spend 8 hours/day on TSTO or spends freely on donuts, no one will get all. Assuming blue is common, it might be easy to fill up on blue prizes, a little harder to fill the pink prizes, but you’ll sacrifice the gold. Or you could just ignore blue, looking for friends’ baskets to swap blue for pink, and keep trying for that set. Either way, gold will be more difficult, and the randomisation of prizes keeps it all even.
Doesn’t really bother me either way. I’ll just keep tapping bunnies, trading in my blues for pinks (no more blue boxes for me) and take whatever doodads I get.
I think it always makes sense to wait till the end of an event before spending any donuts. They may change the odds slightly (like the Christmas event) and you’ll have a much better idea what you’re missing and whether you really want it. But people who buy eggs now will be able to burn through the bad prizes quickly and will be able to pick up the rarer prizes earlier than the rest of us.
For half of us, blue is common. The other half have pink as common.

Another blog broke down the numbers in a different way and said Addicts was wrong. Then they devolved on both ends to a lot of name calling and ass-hattery. I tend to believe TSTOFriends for the math of it, but I’d LIKE to believe Addicts.
I am collecting more eggs now that I’ve opened up some more egg collecting tasks, but I still can’t see how I would be anywhere close unless I was super lucky every single spin. And I haven’t been. Plus there are things you can’t even get until x amount of spins.
I know. It was just for example and would be reversed for those who have pink as more common.
I just don’t see how you can get this many eggs.
With one possible exception… If you were online all day, and tapped every bunny you saw. However, I am not even clear how many bunnies you get/hour. You come into your town after not playing for a while, and there seem to be plus or minus 20 rabbits. That is 20 eggs. If you keep the screen open, a few rabbits show up here and there, but it isn’t a constant flood of bunnies, keeping you knee-deep in rabbits. And the time to search for the rabbits constantly make this impractical.
So I son’t get the math of the TSTOAddicts, however they are addicts, so maybe they know what they are talking about.
I still don’t see how do its would help you get all prizes. I have visited a couple of towns that are flush with easter prizes, and there is no way they could have been able to get them all at this point. At least I am not smart enough to see the way to do it.
I was able to open a blue, pink, and because my pink box gave me 300 gold eggs, I opened a gold box.
For my trouble, I got 3 fence sections and a reverend. And I am almost depleted of pink eggs (15), maybe 200 blue eggs, and zero gold eggs.
The father was good… He is a money making character.
Well, i finally figured out how to buy your way through this update.
Son’t know why I didn’t see the donuts-for-eggs purchases, but i missed it.
I think I am just tired of these updates. They are too tedious to me. i am not sure what else EA could do with this game, as the goal is to tap your way to a new Springfield, but I don’t like the mad dash for whatever item you need to collect to get spins or whatever for prizes. It just seems too grinding,
I won’t stress about this. It is what it is.
One thing I am not clear on. I have read that some folks are getting 15 eggs for their first x number of taps, just like friend points if they still have friend points to get. Is everyone seeing this? I am only receiving 5 eggs for my first 10 or so taps, and it goes to one egg/tap very quickly.
Can anyone shed light on how many eggs you are receiving per neighbor visit?

Plant Corn
I just got Hugs Bunny from the Gold Egg Prize box. One of his tasks is to grow carrots, so it automatically finishes whatever is growing at the time. I was still 30 days away, but since they eliminated multiple friend taps, I’m relieved.
The way to do it is spend real money. I’m not saying it’s a good strategy, but it is a rather efficient one.
I got the Banana Dictatorship with my first (and so far only) Gold Box, so I’m not complaining yet. I’ve been getting 1-2 boxes a day and have received one pond, a bunch of fences and 600 gold eggs. So far nothing terribly ugly, and I actually like the railing fences. They look much better than the pink V-day fences, not to mention the chance to win donuts.
You get a lot of eggs when people fill up your baskets, but I’ve only had one filled so far. C’mon people, trade in your eggs with my baskets! I’ve got one of each color!
I finally completed my corn crop, only to accidentally clear it as I was tapping through the town this morning chasing rabbits.
I didn’t even realize I did it until I saw the field cleared and a bunch of money added to my account.
What a drag. I am going to plant it again in hopes that I have to grow carrots or whatever so I can at least see the crop in its final, ready-to-harvest state.
Whew, I just took a few days off for the weekend and now I feel like I don’t know what’s going on. I think I’ll be OK, I just have to catch up a bit.
I accidentally swapped most of my blue eggs to make them pink eggs in someone’s town. This three egg prize component is a bit confusing.

So today, I got two blue boxes and one pink box.
Pink box, 300 gold eggs,
2 blue boxes, 200 gold eggs.
That is 1 gold box!
Gold box… 2 pastel fence sections. :rolleyes: ok, this is where that old roll-eyes smilie is needed.
That’s one day’s worth of egg collecting, tapping, and zapping bunnies. 2 stinking fence sections…
Yeah, I felt happy. 
I’ve noticed a lot of empty baskets in friends towns with no egg conversion icon above them. And my baskets have been sitting totally empty for days. I’m wondering if there’s a bug…
There is a confirmed basket bug. There are some baskets that people can’t leave eggs in (they’ve checked with their feeder towns so they know it’s not just people ignoring them).
I don’t put eggs in baskets. Not yet. I leave them out in case anyone is hunting for a specific color, but I don’t plan on tapping on others’ until I don’t need eggs any more.
I had one basket for days. Then I got 4 today, and of course 3 of them are my main color.
My one gold basket I’ve gotten was also fences. I am collecting a lot more eggs now, but the pace is still not on track for me to get everything without a LOT of luck. And I play a lot. People who just log in once, twice a day? I can’t imagine how they’re going to fare without even more luck.
