Dagnabbit, I was thiiiisss close to getting some XP donuts. I should have hit the rest of my friends this morning.
inconsistency seems to be the name of the game. I survived that rather large update today and can still get into my town. yay!

Also, this thread (Electronic Arts Forums - Official EA Site) gives you details on how to get a bunch of free amazon kindle coins with which you can buy donuts. Only for kindles, though. Basically you “buy” a bunch of free apps that amazon gives you coins for buying, then you take your coins and buy donuts.
Here’s something: I have no problem with your Krustyland, but your actual town still crashes me.
Oooh, a blood mobile. I only hope it gives us as much enjoyment as that tractor trailer from a few months back.
Make a traffic jam with it and Homer’s car.
It gives just about as much xp per dollar spent as a weather station, so if you’re heavy on cash, it’s a great way to xp-level-up without the tedium of hundreds of tiny weather stations.
I got 600 donuts by doing the free kindle app installs yesterday.
The update this morning gives you 20 donuts as compensation for the recent frame rate issues.
Not bad. I never experienced any of that frame rate problem stuff, either. 
Hmm, I appear to be able to fill my XP bar, get donuts, yet maintain the XP I had previously (so I only need 20% of the XP bar to get more donuts). Before, my XP would reset to zero between getting donuts.
I’m guessing that EA will want to patch that very quickly.

Okay, I just got a new Samsung tablet, and installed Tapped Out, so if anybody needs yet still even another friend, my Origin name is that_don_guy.
The update is here. Looks like Homer starts it but he wasn’t free for me. The Stonecutter lodge is big and takes 16 hours to build.
And as a nice addition, the town hall has a census so you can go to the different characters. Cool way to do it and it is definitely needed, imo.
They also added a “store all” button. It’s the nuclear bomb button after you access the move menu.
